Productivity Improvements The graph below illustrates changes in measures of producDvity of Associates. Data for these calculaDon are taken from the World Health OrganizaDon Health and ProducDvity QuesDonnaire which is embedded within the brain health assessment on MyBrainSoluDons.
Total ProducDvity is a measure incorporaDng both self-‐reported work-‐performance compared to that of the average worker and relaDve absenteeism. For example, 100% Total ProducDvity would represent someone whose job performance matches the average worker’s and who works exactly the hours expected of them. RelaDve Absenteeism describes how many hours actually worked compared to what is expected. NegaDve values indicate that a person has worked more than expected.

Conclusions • Highly stressed employees who need the program the most are using the program and benefiDng from it. • Benefits gained are in criDcally important brain health areas that support producDvity within the CompanyABC
environment: cogniDve skills, emoDonal resilience, stress management and posiDvity. • Reasonable assumpDon that spouses and dependents would also benefit. The contagious effects of stress within
a family unit1 also suggests there could be synergisDc benefits from parDcipaDon within a family unit. • Employees are finding it fun & enjoyable and it appears that high funcDoning employees are using it to
proacDvely maintain emoDonal and cogniDve health. • The effects of stress carry over to medical costs:
• Numerous studies have linked stress to back pain, head aches, heart problems, cancers, infecDous diseases and diabetes.
• Highly stressed employees have 46% greater medical costs2.
• We know a healthy brain promotes making healthy behaviors (for ex. sleeping well). Brain Health Des in nicely with other iniDaDves to promote healthy behaviors.
• Nature of MyBrainSoluDons as a high-‐reach online soluDon enables straighoorward and quick roll out to an extended audience.

The below set of questions is presented in an optional web survey 30 days after the first MyBrain Assessment is completed (in the ‘30 day survey’).
Glossary MyBrainSolutions: a scientifically-developed web-based program designed to optimize whole brain functioning through training exercises (games), Insights (videos) and tools to track success and real-world goal improvement. MyBrain Assessment: a 30 minute scientifically validated assessment of brain function that is completed online. Brain Scores: A user’s performance on the MyBrain Assessment is ranked against thousands of age, gender and education matched peers who have also completed the assessment. Scores for the user are calculated in each brain process of Emotion, Thinking, Feeling and Self Regulation. The scores are out of a scale of 1-10. This range scales the range of performance in a healthy population of the users peers with 5.5 representing the average point. Emotion: Emotion is the process of you rapidly and nonconsciously picking up cues of danger and reward and reflexively reacting to them. The Emotion cues you rely on every day for nonverbal communication is the facial expression and body language of others. Processing Emotion cues is the brain basis of your intuition. Scores of 1-5.5 reflect a style of concretely detailed - you tend to focus on words than on face-body language emotion cues. Scores of 6-10 reflect a style of Nonconsciously Intuitive - you can effectively pick up multiple face-body cues simultaneously. Thinking: Thinking includes your focus, memory and planning. It is a conscious process in which you think in words. Scores of 1-5.5 in Thinking reflects a style of Novelty Engaged - you tend to be engaged by novelty and are likely to be involved in multiple tasks at one time. Scores 6 - 10: reflect a style of Logically Focused - you tend to focus on the most relevant information in a step-by-step manner. Feeling: Feelings are the conscious experience of your emotions by becoming aware of an increase in your heart beat or your breathing rate.
