Originally, an unpublished 18th-century Bengali-language manuscript by Dom Antonio da Rosario, son of the Hindu king of Busna (Bhushona, in present Bangladesh) and later converted to Christianity, and edited by Professor Surendranath Sen of the University of Calcutta and printed there in 1937. Many scholars recognize this as the first example of Bengali prose writing in the history of the Bengali language and literature. In this book, a Roman Catholic dialogues with a Hindu Brahmin (priest) and tries to demonstrate the superiority of Roman Catholic religion over Hinduism. Some scholars also write the name of this book as 'Brahman-Roman Catholic Sambad.'
