RESTORE STAINLESS STEELThe corrosion resistance of stainless steel depends on the presence of an invisible protective

oxide surface. Activities such as welding, coarse grinding, use of carbon steel tools can embedgrease, dirt and iron into the surface damaging the passive protective layer.

Handling and transport of stainless steel is often a frequent source of contamination.

For 40 years, Bradford Derustit has provided picklingproducts that will restore a clean surface

to the standard of the original corrosion resistance. Using our pickling products will give a

better result than alternative surface treatments such as grinding and polishing.

PICKLING AND PASSIVATION

PICKLINGis the complete removal oxides, scale and contamination fro

stainless steel surfaces.

PASSIVATION is the regenerationof the passive film that protects the

stainless steel surface to resist

corrosion.

Passivation will start immediately aft

the complete removal of contaminatio

It may take approximately 24 hours to

achieve maximum effectiveness.

Once the surface is rinsed and all of the contamination has been removed, the

stainless steel will passivate spontaneously once it is exposed to air. The protective

chromium layer will be restored.

EASY AS 1-2-3

1.Simply apply thecleaner to the stainless

steel surface.

2.Leave on for approxi-mately 20 minutes.

3.Rinse or wipe offthoroughly with water.

HOW TO USE DERUSTIT SS-3TMPASTE

1.Apply a thick layer usingan acid resistant brush or

applicator.Paste may settleduring shipment. Stir to thicken.

2.Allow the paste to setfor 15 minutes on the

surface.

3. Remove loose scalewith a stainless steel or

plastic bristle brush. For

exceptionally heavy scale,

repeat the process.

HOW TO USE DERUSTIT SS-3TMLIQUID

1.Dip, spray or brush theDerustit SS-3TMusing a plas-

tic container, immerse the

surface to be treated into a

bath of Derustit SS-3TMliquid.

2.Let the surface soakin the liquid for 2-15

minutes (longer for very

heavy scale). Rinse area

thoroughly with water.

3. Remove loose scalewith a stainless steel or

plastic bristle brush. For

exceptionally heavy scale,

repeat the process.

Efficient Rust RemoverB-P Metal CleanerTMremoves rust, scale and oxides from ferrous and non-

ferrous metals. Avoid labor intensive sanding or grinding which can trap

more rust in crevices and pits causing rust to come back. After the item is

dry, it is ready to be coated with paint, oil or electroplated.

Environmentally FriendlyB-P Metal CleanerTMis non-corrosive. It requires no special equipment for

handling. It wont cause irritation to skin and will not harm sound metal

finishes*, wood, plastic, paint, rubber, concrete, fabric or other materials.
