If you think about it, that is 1/3 of a day. I was amazed by that stat. Why bring that up? I encourage you to carve me in the evening to study and read. Facts show that reading improves vocabulary, it trains the mind and it increases literacy. If you take one hour in the evening and turn all media off, it will make a big difference in the long run. The queson then turns to what do they read? The answer is whatever interests them. It doesn’t maer if it’s a book, maga- zine or paper as long as it is of interest. Elementary schools would have D.E.A.R. Day. D.E.A.R stands for Drop Everything And Read. I encourage you to carve some me out in the evening to Drop Everything And Read. Embrace Bowie John R.
