‘At first, I wasn’t sure there was a market for it’ admits Matthew Wordsworth, Director of Boss Cabins Ltd. ‘We wanted to bridge the gap between mobile and static welfare units but when we talked to customers they were sceptical because there’s no comparative product out there.’

It was when Matthew talked to managers of large construction projects that the demand for the Big Space 24 became apparent.

‘On one site low slung tree branches prevented access for a static but the Big Space 24 could simply be towed under them’ he explains.

‘On the Falkland Islands, the Highways Agency are using a Big Space 24 on their infrastructure road programme. The ability to move the unit simply

and quickly with their own vehicle every few weeks as the works progress is saving them considerable time and money compared with moving a static.’

‘Boss Cabins are working hard to develop products with real advantages to the end user’ says Steve Reece of Reecer Space. ‘I too was unconvinced about a need for a 24’ mobile unit but when I actually saw it I realised its potential and now have four in my fleet and I'm thinking of more.’

‘Servicing a generator takes time and money and we don’t want you to waste either’ says Graham Stansfield. ‘You can save both using RedBox.’

Power-on-demand is fitted as standard on hybrid models and optional on all others. It automatically switches on the generator whenever an appliance or other demand for power is switched on, and turns it off after use.
