Objective: Born Ready workgroup and partners commit to sharing five compelling perinatal messages that empower mothers to ensure their babies are born ready and grow up healthy.
Audiences: 1) expectant and new mothers living anywhere in Wayne County, 2) organizations and people supporting new mothers and babies.
The umbrella message is:
Wayne County Babies: We are Born Ready#WayneCo #BornReady
Employing hashtags with our messages… as part of the message allows us to:
- Measure results- Track usage and engagement- Credibly reach our audiences in the way they want to
be reached- Work across social media platforms- Promote individual organizations while upholding
common and coordinated messaging

Use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and other social media to
raise awareness about the messages. Tag your organization’s social media
posts with #WayneCo (or your city or township) #BornReady, plus one of
the five hashtags associated with the perinatal messages: #40weeks,
#MyMedicalHome, #SleepSafewithABCs, #18monthsbtwnbabies, or
#mommymilk.
Include these messages in your communications to members,
partners, patients, and clients. Request postcards for your office
or community events.
FacebookQ: Why use Facebook?
A: That’s where you’ll find your audience. Fully 71% of online American adults use Facebook. Women are also particularly likely to use Facebook compared with men.
