CAMERASIt is the policy of this Society that no filming or photography of any kind is to take place within the precincts of the showground without the prior knowledge and permission in writing of the Society.
CLEANLINESSA large public attendance is expected at the Show and exhibitors and handlers are asked to assist by observing the highest standards of dog cleanliness. This applies particularly to the Show Entrance and walkways. Please ensure that you use the litter bins provided for all paper and refuse, etc., and help to keep the Venue clean.
Exhibitors and handlers will be expected to clear up any fouling by the DOG(s) in their charge, as per K.C. Show Regulations. Whilst special containers for the use of exhibitors and handlers and if possible, equipment to deal with fouling, will be provided, this will not absolve those responsible for dogs from being properly equipped. Special Stewards will be on duty to ensure that the foregoing requirements are carried out and the dog-showing public is encouraged to assist by active participation and by reporting those who fail in their responsibility, to the Show Manager and, if necessary, the Kennel Club.
DOGS IN VEHICLESRemedial action will be taken by Show Officials in the event of dogs being found in a distressed condition in motor vehicles and caravans (see Rule 16 on Page 5).
PLEASE NOTEPlease respect fellow exhibitors, judges, stewards and show officials. Abuse by exhibitors will not be tolerated and any instances may be reported to the Kennel Club.

In the event of any major contravention of Kennel Club Rules and Regulations, in particular attraction from outside the ring, the Guarantors and/or such members of the Show Management to whom the Guarantors have delegated such powers, may order that judging in specific classes, breeds, or rings, or the Show, be abandoned.

12. 13. Exhibitors must not pick up dogs by their tails and leads when lifting them nor handle a dog in a manner which causes its feet not to touch the ground when on the move. This is not acceptable. Exhibitors should note that such practice would constitute harsh handling and reports of such practice will be referred to the Committee under Kennel Club Show Regulation F11.
14. All exhibitors must be familiar with Kennel Club Regulation F Annex B - Regulations for the Preparation of Dogs for Exhibition.
15. All dogs resident outside the UK must be issued with a Kennel Club Authority to Compete number before entry to the show/event can be made. All overseas entries without an Authority to Compete number will be returned to the exhibitor/competitor.
16. Dogs in Vehicles on Hot Days. Your dog is vulnerable and at risk during hot weather and the Kennel Club offers the following guidance to help guide you through the do’s and don’ts travelling to and whilst at KC licensed events.
• When travelling to a show please take a moment to consider whether the route to the show is on a busy holiday route, and leave earlier to avoid increased time in traffic jams.
• If your vehicle is not air-conditioned seriously consider whether travelling to the show is a good idea at all.• The vehicle should be as fully ventilated as possible, and plenty of stops should be taken, with lots of water
available to drink.• Ensure your dog is not sitting in full sunlight. There should be plenty of free flowing air around the dog.• When at the show, never leave your dog in the vehicle.• Keep the dog in the shade - take your own shade for example a large umbrella and always have plenty of
water available to drink so your dog stays well hydrated.• Avoid your dog taking part in unnecessary exertion, or from standing in exposed sunlight for extended lengths
of time. Remember, if you feel hot your dog is very likely to feel much hotter and dehydrated, and this could lead to dire
results. Please look after your dog’s welfare. WARNING: IF YOUR DOG IS FOUND TO BE AT RISK FORCIBLE ENTRY TO YOUR VEHICLE MAY BE NECESSARY WITHOUT LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED.
17. Anyone whose dog is entered at a Kennel Club licensed event should take all reasonable steps to ensure the needs of their dog(s) are met, and should not put a dog’s health and welfare at risk by any action, default, omission or otherwise. Breach of the Kennel Club Regulations in this respect may be referred to the Board for disciplinary action under Kennel Club Rules and Regulations. The use of pinch collars, electronic shock collars, or prong collars, is not permitted at any show licensed by the Kennel Club. This shall apply at the venue or within the precincts of the show.
18. Not for Competition entries will be accepted. Details of each dog so entered must be recorded on the entry form and must be Kennel Club registered.
19. No modifications will be made to this Schedule except by permission of the Board of the Kennel Club, which will be followed by advertisement in the Canine Press wherever possible.
20. Exhibitors will receive one free pass for each dog entered. 21. Exhibitors must use the designated areas for the storage of cages and equipment and gangways must be
kept clear at all times. No gazebos, tents, fishing umbrellas or similar are permittted within the confines of the showground.
22. Should any Judge be prevented from fulfilling his engagement, the Committee reserve to themselves the right to appoint another in his/her place. Exhibitors are at liberty to withdraw from competition but no entry fees can be returned.
23. Any owner, competitor, handler or other person in charge of a dog is required to remove as soon as possible any fouling caused by their dog(s) at any Kennel Club licensed show within the licensed venue and within the environs of that event including car and caravan parks and approaches.
24. The owner, exhibitor, handler or other person in charge of a dog at Kennel Club licensed events must at all times ensure that the dog is kept under proper control whilst at the licensed venue, including its environs, car and caravan parks and approaches. This Regulation applies before (at any time during the set up period at the venue), during the event and afterwards (at any time during the breakdown of the event).
25. A dog may be disqualified by the Board from any award, whether an objection has been lodged or not, if proved amongst other things to have been: a) registered or recorded as having been bred by the scheduled Judge, this shall not apply to a Judge appointed in an emergency; b) exhibited without payment of appropriate entry fees.
26. Every exhibitor shall ensure that whilst the dog is being exhibited, its handler shall display the correct ring number. 27. All caravans MUST be equipped with a fire extinguisher. 28. Entry fees will not be refunded, after entries have closed, if the show is cancelled or abandoned due to an act of
God or any unforeseen circumstance outwith the control of the Society. 29. Exhibitors please note that the Society will determine the width of unobstructed gangways which may be
more than the KC minimum distance and exhibitors must adhere to these. Brian Stevenson (Secretary)
