This digital disc player employs a laser system. Use of controls, adjustments, or the performance of procedures other than those specified herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure.

To prevent direct exposure to laser beam, do not open the enclosure. Never stare directly into the laser beam. Do not install this apparatus in a confined space such as a book case or similar unit.

The battery type used in this product is six UM‐2 size batteries. These batteries are located internally and are readily accessible.

Remove the battery cover on the bottom of the product to remove the batteries. These batteries must be disposed of at your local recycling point.

BATTERY OPERATION (NOT SUPPLIED) The unit can be operated using batteries alone. 1. Remove the battery cover. 2. Insert six UM‐2 size batteries into the battery compartment.

Make sure all batteries are inserted with the correct polarity as shown on the inside of the battery compartment.

3. Replace the battery cover.

If the unit is not to be used for a prolonged period of time, remove the batteries to avoid damage by battery leakage.

MAINS OPERATION 1. Place the player on a flat stable surface. 2. Plug the mains lead into the AC~ jack located on the rear of the player ensuring that

the plug is pushed fully into the jack. 3. Plug the other end of the mains lead into the mains socket.

The mains socket used for the player must remain accessible during normal use. In order to disconnect the player from the mains, the mains plug should be removed from the mains power socket completely.

SWITCHING ON THE UNIT Set the FUNCTION switch to the TUNER or CD/MP3/USB/AUX position to turn on the unit.

If there is no operation within about 15 minutes when the FUNCTION switch is set to the CD/MP3/USB/AUX position, the unit will turn off automatically.

Press to switch on the unit again.

FM RADIO OPERATION 1. Extend the telescopic aerial.

Note: Fully extend and reposition the aerial for optimum reception. 2. Set the FUNCTION switch to the TUNER position.

The POWER indicator light will illuminate. 3. Turn the VOLUME control knob to a comfortable volume level. 4. Turn the TUNING knob to tune in to the desired FM station.

The FM ST. indicator light will illuminate for a stereo signal. 5. Turn off the radio by setting the FUNCTION switch to the OFF position.

DISCS OPERATION

Compact discs

Use only Digital Audio CDs with the symbol. Never write on a CD or attach any sticker to the CD. Always hold the CD at the edge and store it in its box after use with the label facing up. To remove dust and dirt, breathe on the CD and wipe it with a soft, lint free cloth in a straight line from the centre towards the edge.

Cleaning agents may damage the CD. Do not expose the CD to rain, moisture, sand or to excessive heat. CD/CD‐R/CD‐RW/MP3 discs The player can playback CD/CD‐R/CD‐RW/MP3 discs that have been finalised upon completion of recording. The player may fail to playback some discs due to poor recording and wide variation in quality of the discs. Inserting a disc 1. Push the right corner of the CD door to open it. 2. Insert a disc on the disc tray with the label side facing up. 3. Close the CD door. Playing a CD 1. Set the FUNCTION switch to the CD/MP3/USB/AUX position.

The player will scan the contents of the CD. The total number of tracks will then be displayed.

2. The player will start by pressing .

Playback will start from the first track and the display will show the current track

number and the symbol . 3. Adjust the volume by turning the VOLUME control knob.

4. You can activate the bass boost function by pressing BBS. The unit will boost the sound output of the bass frequencies. To deactivate this function, press BBS again.

5. To interrupt playback, .

The symbol and the current track number will flash on the display.

6. To resume playback, press again. The symbol and the current track number will stop flashing.

7. To stop playback, press STOP/USB. The total number of tracks will appear on the display.

Note:

The CD door should only be opened when the CD is in stop mode.

If no disc is loaded into the compartment or the disc is placed upside down, the display will show “NOd”.

Selecting a track

While the CD is playing, repeatedly press / to play the desired track.

Note: You can also repeatedly press / to select the desired track when the

player is in stop mode. Press to play the selected track.

For MP3 disc, when the number of tracks on the disc exceeds 10, first press

FOLD+/+10 or FOLD‐/‐10 and then repeatedly press / to select the desired track. If the MP3 disc contains more than one folder, press and hold FOLD+/+10 or FOLD‐/‐10 for about 2 seconds to skip next/previous folder. Search function

While the disc is playing, press and hold / . Release the button when the desired point (passage) of the track is reached. Playback will start again from this point. Programmed play By programming the player you can play up to 20 disc / 99 MP3 tracks in any desired order. 1. In stop status, press PROG./MODE.

The text “PROG” will flash and “P01” will appear on the display. 2. Repeatedly press / to select the desired track number. 3. Press PROG./MODE again to store the track. 4. Repeat the above steps until you have completed your program.

5. Press to commence play of selected tracks.

Playback will start from the first programmed track. You can repeatedly press / to select the desired track programmed. To cancel the program play, press STOP/USB twice and the PROG. indicator light will go out.

USB OPERATION

Inserting and removing a USB memory device Carefully insert a USB memory device into the USB port. To remove the USB memory device simply pull it out. Selecting USB mode Set the FUNCTION switch to the CD/MP3/USB/AUX position and then press and hold STOP/USB to select the USB mode.

The display will show the total number of folders and the total number of tracks. Playback control in USB mode is similar to CD mode. NOTE: The USB memory device should not be removed during playback as damage or corruption of files may occur.

AUX IN Connect an audio cable (not supplied) to the AUX IN jack on the rear of the unit. Connect the other end to a suitable output socket on your auxiliary device. Set the FUNCTION switch to the CD/MP3/USB/AUX position. You can play music from an auxiliary device through the speakers of the player.

Appareil laser de classe 1

Pour éviter l’exposition directe au faisceau laser, n'ouvrez pas le boîtier. Ne regardez jamais directement dans le faisceau laser.

UTILISER DES PILES (NON FOURNIES) L’appareil peut être utilisé uniquement avec des piles. 1. Ouvrez le couvercle du logement des piles. 2. Insérez 6 piles UM-2 dans le logement des piles.

• Insérez correctement toutes les piles en respectant la polarité indiquée dans le logement des piles.

3. Refermez le couvercle du logement de la batterie.

Avant toute période d’inutilisation prolongée, retirez les piles pour éviter que l’appareil ne soit détérioré si elles se mettent à fuir.

INSTALLER L’APPAREIL 1. Posez le lecteur sur une surface plane et stable. 2. Branchez la fiche du cordon d’alimentation dans la prise d'alimentation (AC ~) au

dos du lecteur en veillant à insérer complètement la fiche dans la prise. 3. Branchez l’autre fiche du cordon d'alimentation dans une prise secteur.

La prise secteur dans laquelle le lecteur est branché doit rester accessible pendant l’utilisation normale. Pour débrancher complètement le lecteur du secteur, sortez complètement la fiche de son cordon d’alimentation de la prise secteur.

ALLUMER L’APPAREIL • Positionnez le sélecteur FUNCTION sur la fonction TUNER ou CD/MP3/USB/AUX pour

allumer l’appareil. • Sans action pendant 15 minutes quand le sélecteur FUNCTION est sur la position

CD/MP3/USB/AUX, l’appareil s’éteint automatiquement. • Appuyez sur pour le rallumer.

UTILISER LA RADIO FM 1. Déployez l’antenne télescopique.

• Remarque : Déployez-la entièrement et modifiez sa position pour optimiser la réception.

2. Déplacez le sélecteur FUNCTION sur la position TUNER. • Le voyant d’alimentation s’allume.

3. Réglez le volume à un niveau confortable en tournant le bouton VOLUME. 4. Tournez le bouton TUNING pour régler la station de radio FM désirée.

• Le voyant FM ST. s’allume quand le signal reçu est stéréo. 5. Pour éteindre la radio, déplacez le sélecteur FUNCTION sur la position OFF [Arrêt].

UTILISER DES DISQUES

Disques compacts

Utilisez exclusivement des CD audio numériques portant le symbole . N’écrivez jamais sur un CD et ne collez jamais d'autocollant dessus. Saisissez toujours les CD par leur bord et rangez-les dans leur boîtier après utilisation en positionnant leur face imprimée vers le haut. Pour enlever les poussières et saletés d’un CD, soufflez dessus et essuyez-le avec une lingette douce et ne peluchant pas en procédant par lignes droites du centre vers le bord extérieur. L’utilisation de produit de nettoyage peut détériorer les CD. N’exposez pas les CD à la pluie, à l’humidité, au sable ou à une chaleur excessive.

Disques CD/CD-R/CD-RW/MP3 Le lecteur peut lire les disques CD/CD-R/CD-RW/MP3 finalisés après gravage. Le lecteur peut ne pas pouvoir lire certains disques à cause de mauvais enregistrements et de grandes différences de qualité entre les disques. Insérer un disque 1. Appuyez sur le coin droit du couvercle du plateau de lecture pour l’ouvrir. 2. Insérez un disque sur le plateau de lecture avec sa face imprimée vers le haut. 3. Fermez le couvercle du plateau de lecture. Lire un CD 1. Déplacez le sélecteur FUNCTION sur la position CD/MP3/USB/AUX.

• Le lecteur scanne le contenu du CD. Puis, le nombre total de pistes s’affiche. 2. Appuyez sur pour démarrer le lecteur.

• La lecture commence à partir de la première piste et l’écran affiche le numéro de la piste actuelle et le symbole .

3. Réglez le volume en tournant le bouton VOLUME. 4. Vous pouvez activer la fonction de renforcement des basses en appuyant sur la touche BBS.

• L’appareil renforce le son des basses fréquences. • Pour désactiver cette fonction, appuyez à nouveau sur la touche BBS.

5. Appuyez sur pour mettre la lecture en pause. • Le symbole et le numéro de la piste actuelle clignotent à l’écran.

6. Pour reprendre la lecture, appuyez à nouveau sur . • Le symbole et le numéro de la piste actuelle arrêtent de clignoter.

7. Pour arrêter la lecture, appuyez sur STOP/USB. • Le nombre total de pistes s’affiche à l’écran.

Remarque : • Le couvercle du plateau de lecture CD ne doit être ouvert que lorsque la lecture CD est à l’arrêt (mode stop et non pause). • S’il n’y a pas de disque dans le plateau de lecture ou si le disque est placé à l’envers,

l’écran affiche « NOd ».

Sélectionner une piste Pendant la lecture d’un CD, appuyez plusieurs fois sur / pour lire la piste désirée. Remarque : Vous pouvez également appuyer plusieurs fois sur / pour sélectionner la piste désirée quand le lecteur est dans le mode stop. Appuyez sur

pour lire la piste sélectionnée. Pour les disques MP3, quand il y a plus de 10 pistes sur le disque, appuyez d’abord sur FOLD+/+10 ou FOLD-/-10, puis appuyez plusieurs fois sur / pour sélectionner la piste désirée. Si le disque MP3 contient plusieurs dossiers, maintenez FOLD+/+10 ou FOLD-/-10 appuyé pendant 2 secondes environ pour sélectionner le dossier précédent ou suivant.

Rechercher un passage Pendant la lecture d’un disque, maintenez ou appuyé. Relâchez la touche quand vous avez atteint le point (passage) recherché dans la piste. La lecture reprend depuis ce point. Programme de lecture Vous pouvez paramétrer un programme de lecture comprenant jusqu’à 20 disques/99 pistes MP3 dans n'importe quel ordre. 1. Dans le mode stop, appuyez sur PROG./MODE.

• « PROG » clignote et « P01 » s’affiche à l’écran. 2. Appuyez plusieurs fois sur / pour sélectionner le numéro de piste désirée. 3. Appuyez à nouveau sur PROG./MODE pour mémoriser la piste. 4. Répétez cette procédure jusqu'à ce que votre programme soit terminé. 5. Appuyez sur pour démarrer la lecture des pistes programmées.

• La lecture commence à partir de la première piste programmée. Pendant la lecture, vous pouvez sélectionner l’une des pistes programmées en appuyant plusieurs fois sur / . Pour annuler le programme de lecture, appuyez deux fois sur STOP/USB, le voyant PROG. s’éteint.

UTILISER LE PORT USB

Insérer et retirer un support mémoire USB Insérez précautionneusement un support mémoire USB dans le port USB. Pour retirer le support mémoire USB, tirez-le simplement hors de l’appareil. Sélectionner le mode USB Déplacez le sélecteur FUNCTION sur la position CD/MP3/USB/AUX, puis maintenez STOP/USB appuyé pour sélectionner le mode USB.

• L’écran affiche le nombre total de dossiers, puis le nombre total de pistes. Les commandes de lecture du mode USB sont identiques à celles du mode CD.

REMARQUE : Le support mémoire USB ne doit pas être retirée pendant la lecture, car cela peut l’endommager et corrompre les fichiers.

UTILISER L’ENTRÉE AUX Branchez un câble audio (non fourni) dans la prise AUX IN au dos de l'appareil. Branchez l’autre fiche du câble dans la sortie audio appropriée d’une source audio externe. Déplacez le sélecteur FUNCTION sur la position CD/MP3/USB/AUX. Vous pouvez écouter la musique de la source audio externe via les haut-parleurs du lecteur.

DÉPANNAGE

Gooi batterijen aan het einde van hun levensduur op een juiste manier weg. Dit apparaat is niet geschikt voor gebruik in een tropisch klimaat.

Stel het apparaat niet bloot aan druppelend of spattend water en plaats geen, met vloeistof gevulde, voorwerpen zoals vazen op het apparaat.

Stel batterijen (geïnstalleerde accu’s of batterijen) nooit bloot aan overmatige warmte zoals zonlicht, vuur, etc.

Klasse 1 laserproduct

Dit product bevat een laser met een laag vermogen. Er is onzichtbare laserstraling wanneer de behuizing wordt geopend en de vergrendelingen worden genegeerd. Vermijd blootstelling aan de straal.

Deze digitale discspeler maakt gebruik van een lasersysteem. Het gebruik van gelijk welke bediening, aanpassing of procedure hier niet vermeld kan een gevaarlijke blootstelling aan laserstraling veroorzaken.

Om elke directe blootstelling aan laserstraling te vermijden, open de behuizing niet.

Kijk nooit rechtstreeks in de laserstraal. Installeer dit product niet in een nauwe ruimte zoals een boekenkast of gelijksoortig meubilair. BATTERIJWAARSCHUWING: Alleen volwassenen mogen batterijen installeren. Een kind mag dit apparaat alleen gebruiken als het batterijdeksel op een juiste manier op het batterijvak is vastgemaakt.

Dit product werkt op zes UM2 batterijen. Deze batterijen bevinden zich in het toestel en zijn makkelijk toegankelijk. Haal het batterijdeksel aan de onderkant van het toestel af om de batterijen te verwijderen. Lever uw gebruikte batterijen in bij uw lokaal inzamelpunt.

WERKING OP BATTERIJEN (NIET MEEGELEVERD) Het toestel kan alleen op batterijen werken. 1. Verwijder het batterijdeksel. 2. Plaats zes UM-2 batterijen in het batterijvak.

• Controleer of alle batterijen met de polen in de juiste richting liggen zoals aan de binnenkant van het batterijvak is weergegeven.

3. Plaats het batterijdeksel terug.

Haal de batterijen uit het toestel als u het gedurende een lange periode niet zult gebruiken, om schade door het lekken van de batterijen te vermijden.

WERKING OP HET LICHTNET 1. Plaats de speler op een stabiel en vlak oppervlak. 2. Sluit het snoer met de stekker aan op de AC-aansluiting aan de achterkant van het

apparaat. Zorg dat u de stekker volledig in de aansluiting steekt. 3. Steek vervolgens de stekker in het stopcontact.

Het stopcontact dat voor het apparaat wordt gebruikt moet tijdens normaal gebruik steeds bereikbaar zijn. Om het apparaat volledig van de netvoeding los te koppelen, haal de stekker uit het stopcontact.

HET TOESTEL INSCHAKELEN • Stel de FUNCTION schakelaar in op de positie TUNER of CD/MP3/USB/AUX om het

toestel in te schakelen. • Als er binnen circa 15 minuten geen handeling wordt uitgevoerd wanneer de

FUNCTION schakelaar op de positie CD/MP3/USB/AUX is ingesteld, wordt het toestel automatisch uitgeschakeld.

• Druk nogmaals op om het toestel opnieuw in te schakelen.

WERKING VAN DE FM-RADIO 1. Trek de telescoopantenne uit.

• Opmerking: Trek voor een optimale ontvangst de antenne helemaal uit. 2. Stel de FUNCTION schakelaar in op de positie TUNER.

• Het POWER controlelampje brandt. 3. Stel de VOLUMEREGELAAR in op het gewenste volumeniveau. 4. Draai aan de TUNING knop om op het gewenste FM-station af te stemmen.

• Het FM ST. controlelampje brandt wanneer een stereosignaal wordt ontvangen. 5. Om de radio uit te zetten, stel de FUNCTION schakelaar in op de positie OFF.

DISKS AFSPELEN

Compact discs

Gebruik alleen digitale audio CD's met het symbool. Schrijf in geen geval op een CD en plak er ook geen stickers op. Houd de CD altijd aan de rand vast en doe deze na gebruik terug in het doosje met de titel naar boven. Verwijder stof en vuil door op de CD te ademen en met een zachte, niet pluizende doek in één haal, vanaf het midden naar de rand, af te vegen.

Schoonmaakmiddelen kunnen de CD beschadigen. Stel de CD niet bloot aan regen, vocht, zand of extreme hitte. CD/CD-R/CD-RW/MP3-discs De speler kan CD/CD-R/CD-RW/MP3-discs afspelen die nadat het opnemen was afgelopen, zijn voltooid of gefinaliseerd. Mogelijk kan de speler bepaalde discs niet afspelen door hun slechte opnamekwaliteit of door de grote verscheidenheid in kwaliteit van de discs. Een disc plaatsen 1. Druk op de rechter hoek van de CD-klep om te openen. 2. Plaats een disk met de bedrukte zijde naar boven gericht. 3. Sluit de CD-klep. Een CD afspelen 1. Stel de FUNCTION schakelaar in op de positie CD/MP3/USB/AUX.

• De speler scant de inhoud van de CD. Het totale aantal nummers 1wordt weergegeven.

2. Druk op om het afspelen te starten. • Het afspelen start vanaf de eerste track en het display geeft het nummer van de

huidige track en het symbool weer. 3. Stel het gewenste volume in door aan de VOLUMEREGELAAR te draaien. 4. U kunt de bassboostfunctie activeren door op BBS te drukken.

• Het toestel versterkt de geluidsuitvoer van de basfrequenties. • Om deze functie uit te schakelen, druk nogmaals op BBS.

5. Om het afspelen te onderbreken, druk op .

• Het symbool en het huidig tracknummer knipperen op het display. 6. Om het afspelen te hervatten, druk nogmaals op .

• Het symbool en het huidig tracknummer stoppen met knipperen. 7. Om het afspelen te stoppen, druk op STOP/USB.

• Het totaal aantal tracks wordt op het display weergegeven. Opmerking: • Open het CD-deksel alleen wanneer de CD in de stopmodus is. • Het display geeft “NOd” weer wanneer er zich geen disc in het vak bevindt of de disc

ondersteboven is geplaatst.

Een track selecteren

Tijdens het afspelen van de CD, druk herhaaldelijk op / om de gewenste track af te spelen.

Opmerking: U kunt tevens herhaaldelijk op / drukken om naar een gewenste track te gaan wanneer de speler zich in de stopmodus bevindt. Druk op om de gekozen track af te spelen.

Voor MP3-dics, wanneer het aantal tracks op de disc groter dan 10 is, druk eerst op

FOLD+/+10 of FOLD-/-10 en druk vervolgens herhaaldelijk op / om de gewenste track te selecteren. Als de MP3-disc meerdere mappen bevat, druk en houd FOLD+/+10 of FOLD-/-10 circa 2 seconden ingedrukt om naar de volgende/vorige map te gaan. Zoekfunctie

Tijdens het afspelen van de disc, druk en houd / ingedrukt. Laat de knop los zodra het gewenste punt (passage) van de track wordt bereikt. Het afspelen start vervolgens vanaf dit punt. • Het afspelen start vanaf de eerste geprogrammeerde track. Druk herhaaldelijk op / om de gewenste geprogrammeerde track te selecteren. Om het geprogrammeerd afspelen te annuleren, druk tweemaal op STOP/USB en het PROG. controlelampje dooft.

USB WERKING

Een USB-geheugenapparaat inbrengen en verwijderen Breng het USB-geheugenapparaat voorzichtig in de USB-poort. Trek het USB-geheugenapparaat uit om te verwijderen. USB-modus selecteren Stel de FUNCTION schakelaar in op de positie CD/MP3/USB/AUX, en druk en houd STOP/USB vervolgens ingedrukt op de USB-modus te selecteren.

• Het totaal aantal mappen en totaal aantal tracks worden op het display weergegeven.

De bediening in de USB-modus is dezelfde als in de CD-modus. OPMERKING: Verwijder het USB-geheugenapparaat tijdens het afspelen niet om beschadiging aan de bestanden te vermijden.

AUX IN Sluit een audiokabel (niet meegeleverd) aan op de AUX IN aansluiting aan de achterkant van het apparaat. Sluit het andere uiteinde aan op een gepaste uitgangsaansluiting op uw randapparaat. Stel de FUNCTION schakelaar in op de positie CD/MP3/USB/AUX. U kunt muziek van uw andere apparaat via de luidsprekers van de speler beluisteren.
