CCHS winter teams showed the right stuff in 2016 in all departments, and the football and volleyball teams showed up at Awards Night on November 17 to scoop up academic and athletic honors for their respective and collective performances during the furies of fall. This year’s volleyball team (above) was especially remarkable for full-team dedication to high scores on the books

and on the boards, getting a Distinguished Team stamp from IHSAA! The young Musher team showed burly defense work from mid-court! And look at those grades!!!!! Do the math! IHSAA noted outstanding individuals, too, including football team members! ❦

owerful numbers! Speaking of higher math, this year’s was a stirring and adventurous HS football season, with CCHS joining up with Richfield to compile the numbers for a full joint conference team. And a muscular season it was, with the Musher team journeying far away to Bancroft, Idaho, for the State play-in game, where they routed the highly-seeded North Gem team with a 46 to 32 crushfest, Mushers

outrushing North Gem handily, compounded by two James Waligorski interceptions! Musher magic!
