Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust FRCS (SN) Examination Course Date: 17-18 September 2016 Venue: Charing Cross Hospital, Hammersmith W6 8RF Contact: [email protected] It is that time of the year again. Part 2 of the exit exam is looming for those brilliant minds who have passed the written papers. This is where book work is no longer going to get you through the exam. You may think you know something very well, but are you able to articulate your answer in a way that will satisfy the examiners under stressful conditions? There is no better way to practice for this exam than to continuously submit yourself to this scenario. We have designed a 2-days course that will cover the wide range of conditions you’re likely to be examined upon and this is the chance to practice your answers. Schedule for the days Confirmed faculty (more to come!) You will be divided into groups of 2 (max 3 depending on number of delegates) as you rotate around the rooms with patients and examiners waiting to test your knowledge. You will therefore get a chance to see how other peers assess patients and answer questions and learn from both their strong points and their weaknesses. This is the best way to learn for the clinicals and viva. 17 September 08.45-09.00 Registration and coffee 09.00-10.00 Vascular Neuroradiology teaching 10.00-11.00 Neuroanaesthesia teaching 11.00-11.15 Coffee break 11.15-13.15 Long cases 13.15-13.45 Lunch 13.45-15.45 Short cases 18 September 08.45-09.00 Coffee 09.00-10.00 Structural Neuroradiology teaching 10.00-11.00 Neurological examination 11.00-11.15 Coffee 11.15-13.45 Viva Mr Dip Nandi Functional Neurosurgeon Mr Ramesh Nair Vascular & skull base Neurosurgeon Ms Sophie Camp Neuro-oncology & trauma Neurosurgeon Mr Christian Ulbricht Spinal Neurosurgeon Mr Kevin Tsang Trauma, Spinal & CSF Disorder Neurosurgeon Dr Amrish Mehta Interventional Book Now! ©2016
