Bohemian glass is manufactured in the Bohemia and Silesia regions of the Czech Republic and Poland.

This exceptionally clear glass has been around since the 16th century, but it was not until the baroque period when it became popular around the world.

Its supreme quality and elegance, earned it a lofty reputation in the European courts, so much so that the aristocracy and members of the upper classes clamoured to display this magnificent glass in their sumptuously decorated homes.

These days, refined, perfectly finished bohemian glass is synonymous with good taste.

After searching for new sensations, a surprising visual experience was achieved. Viewed close up, Vitropixel’s bohemian glass pixels are visible. However, from a distance, a realistic image emerges, as sharp as a high-resolution photograph.

Each piece of Bohemian glass measures approximately 5x5 mm, and there is no limit to the number of colours available.

Rather than coating the surface, the glass is coloured throughout. The result is a finish that is impervious to change for years, regardless of the lighting conditions, temperature or moisture to which it is subjected.

When all the pieces are in place, they are fixed to the support panel using a resin infusion process.

PREVIEW THE FINAL RESULT Vitropixel is a unique, innovative system.In the initial phase, a model is prepared, taking the eventual size of the work into account, with the same number of glass pieces as the mosaic. Each pixel exactly matches the colour of its corresponding piece of glass.

The model image therefore gives a very accurate preview of your future mosaic.
