Paul King County Park Situated on lovely Manahawkin Lake, this park lies nestled in the heart of Stafford Township. It offers a variety of recreation possibilities, a brightly- colored children’s playground and a large picnic area shaded by a stand of pines. A. Paul King has become increasingly popular over the years. Lifeguards play a vital role in keeping us safe and protected, while enjoying a day at A. Paul King County Park. Unfortunately, many people disregard the signs not to swim in unguarded areas, compromising their safety and the safety of others. To keep everyone safe, only swim in guarded areas and listen to the lifeguard signals. To reserve a picnic area please contact 1-877-OC-PARKS for an application. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN ON PICNIC RESERVATIONS -- DATES ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE - A Beer & Wine Permit is not allowed without a picnic reservations, and can only be purchased at the time of reser- vation. Beer in cans or kegs and wine in wine boxes is allowed. In order to qualify for a Beer & Wine Permit, the “responsible” party must be 21 years of age and must attach a copy of his/ her valid driver’s license with matching name and address. Alcoholic beverages are STRICTLY PROHIBITED outside of the picnic area. - In the event that the N EW J ERSEY FOREST FIRE SERVICE issued a ban on all OPEN F IRES due to dry weather conditions, grilling of any kind will be STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Children’s Safety Tips Always have an adult nearby. Even if you’re a great swimmer, you never know when you might need help. Set a good example so younger kids know how to behave. The lake is only safe when EVERYONE follows the rules. Tell an adult if there’s a problem. You don’t want to get hurt, so let an adult take care of it. Check the water depth. You don’t want to get hurt diving into water that’s too shallow. Always wear sunscreen. Without it, you could end up with a painful sun burn, which can lead to other health problems. No running! You could slip or trip - hurting not just yourself, but someone else as well. Rules and Regulations for Picnic Permits All picnic reservations for group sizes up to 74 people are takes on a first-come, first-served basis.
