M ETHOD 1 - Using Report M anager Open Report M anager Window, if it is not open.

Click on the data tab of the report manager. A list of allvariables in the data provider is displayed.

Select variables from the Report M anager and drag todrop them in the Result objects box. To select multiplevariables use the CTRL key. Cursor changes to µCreate

table¶ cursor.A table is created for those variables.

Click inside one of the dimension columns.

Drag the column to the upper right corner of the table.

When the cursor turns to µTurn to Crosstab¶ release themouse button. The table becomes a cross tab.

Charts can be created in multiple ways -� Use the Insert Chart wizard.

� Turn an existing table / crosstab into a chart.

� Copy and Paste an existing table / crosstab andturn it into a chart.

REMEMBER - To create a chart you need at least

one measure object and one dimension / detailobject.

Data can be exported from B O reports in thefollowing formats -

� Can be opened in different applications and on

B roadcast Process� Using B usiness Objects or INFOVIEW, end users send documents toB roadcast Agent.

� The documents that users send to B ROADCAST AGENT arestored in the repository¶s document domain.

� They set the actions they want B ROADCAST AGENT to perform, plus options for scheduling, categories and distribution.

� The Scheduler periodically scans the domain and extractsdocuments that are due for processing.

The Scheduler passes due BusinessObjects documentssuch as Task1 to the BOManager, which launches oneinstance of BusinessObjects on the server per document.Similarly, WebIntelligence documents such as Task 2 arepassed to the WIGenerator process, which launches one

instance of WIQT to process each.

On the server, BusinessObjects or WIQT performs theactions the user requested on the document. This can meanquerying the corporate database to refresh the document.
