THe eLeAnOR & pAuL WeineRz”l AnnuAL diSTinguiSHed SeRvice AWARdeleanor and paul Weinerz”l, as part of their lasting legacy to our synagogue community, provided an endowed scholarship to support Jewish life and Jewish education. the $5,000 scholarship helps defray the costs for a Jewish educational/social action program such as an israel experience program, Jewish studies on campus, israel gap-year programs, internships or any other approved program. the award will be given to a deserving high school graduate, college student or post-graduate student, who has shown involvement in the past and desires a significant experience for the future. to obtain an application form, please email Cathy Berkowitz at [email protected]. Our classes build Jewish literacy through a sophisticated, intellectually stimulating, text-based curriculum for students of all levels and Jewish backgrounds. no outside of class studying and no homework! the Melton school core curriculum is a comprehensive, sequential series of text-based lessons, studied over two years. Year One is comprised of 25 lessons taught over 25 weeks for 2 hours a week. Many scholars classes (10 weeks) also being offered.
