Blood Donation- An initiative to save life!! Nothing could be better than saving a life and what can be a better way than donating blood for a needy. Having this insight, our college, Dr B R Sur Homoeopathic Medical College organized a blood donation camp on 12 th August, 2014 which was held in college premises itself. The event was accomplished with the help of ‘Rotary Blood Bank’ who themselves have a slogan of “Donate Blood-Save Lives”. Along with their help, our college was able to stand for a social cause. Many students from all years and staff members participated , with a good will and the enthusiasm among the students could be seen with their presence and active participation. In about 4 hours, 110 people came forward, the outcome was fascinating and around 45 people were able to donate blood in such a short span of time. The great will and sense of responsible citizens was seen within everyone who was present for the cause adjoining their hands. This made me and my college feel proud !!!

Independence Day CelebrationHearing the word Independence Day makes us remember our love for our country and respect for the freedom fighters. With the same notion, we celebrated Independence Day from 14th August, 2014 in our college to pay tribute to all who sacrificed their lives. We had students actively participating in the Drawing, Debate & singing competition with all the enthusiasm. Whole college was lighted up for the occasion. On 15 August Flag hosting ceremony was held which gives us all pride feeling about our nation.There was an Oath Taking Ceremony for the elected Student Council, to bring pride to the college.The auspicious day ended but the love for our nation would never end in the hearts of WE- THE INDIANS !!!
