Secondo le norme EN-81 1998 è possibile utilizzare i blocchi paracadute a presa istantanea alle seguenti velocità:Velocità nominale massima Velocità di intervento massimaDella cabina 0,63 m/sec. 1,00 m/sec.Del contrappeso 1,00 m/sec. 1,65 m/sec.

Con il variare della velocità di intervento, cambia il carico P+Q ammesso, occorre quindi ricavarlo dal certificato di esame ditipo, fornibile a richiesta, oppure basandosi sulla seguente formula:

P+Q nuovo = P+Q della tabella x 177,53 /(50 x (V nuova)^2 + 127,53)

EN-81 1998 regulations allow use of instant action safety gears at the following speeds:

Maximum nominal speed Maximum tripping speedCabin 0.63 m/sec. 1.00 m/sec.Counterweight 1.00 m/sec. 1.65 m/sec.

As tripping speed varies, the permitted P+Q load also varies, and the new value is then required. This can be either read onthe type-examination certificate, available on request, or be calculated from this formula:

P+Q new = P+Q on table x 177.53 /(50 x (V new)^2 + 127.53)
