IntroductionPowerPoint as an instructional aid

Objective: • Identify highlights of an existing lesson, instructional unit, or course

assignment for inclusion in a summary PowerPoint presentation.

Group Discussion: • How do you use PowerPoint presentations?• What makes a PowerPoint presentation effective?• What are some ways PowerPoint can be used to focus student attention,

highlight significant instructional content, or scaffold student learning?• What kind of instructional content can be included in a presentation?

Activity:• Using instructional content, list items that may be included in a summary

PowerPoint.
