New in release 7.4The following sections describe new and changed features in the BlackBerry AtHoc product suite.
Cloud and delivery services
• Alerts sent using SMS messages can now include response links.• UK organizations were migrated to the UK mobile/connect.• Auto-response emails are ignored.
Cross browser support for settings pages
The following pages are now available on all supported browsers:
• Desktop Settings• Integration Manager• Map Settings• Mass Device Manager• User Authentication
Distribution list map layers
The live map was upgraded to show users on a map with distribution list layers and provides the followingfeatures:
• Show last location of users from up to 10 distribution lists.• Each distribution can have up to 500 users.• Distribution lists are displayed on the map using customizable colors.• Users who appear in the same area are clustered together.• The map refreshes automatically once a minute.• Configurable in the BlackBerry AtHoc management system in the Map Settings page.
Note: Distribution list map layers must be enabled on a per-organization level by a System Administrator.

Integrated Weather Alerts
• All feeds collected by the system during the last 15 days can be exported.• A new out of the box weather alert template is now available.
LDAP sync module version 2.0
The BlackBerry AtHoc LDAP sync module has been updated from version 1.2.7 to 2.0.0 and supports thefollowing features and functions:
• Enterprise user management and user move
• You can create a single configuration to support your enterprise.• You can specify the Organization attribute for the sub organization for new users to be created in. If a user
already exists, they are moved to the specified organization.

• Expected performance improvement of more than 5 times.• Use of the Username as the primary key instead of the mapping ID (mid)
In LDAP module version 1.2.7, the LDAPSync client used the SDK payload to synchronize users and distributionlist memberships. The LDAPSync client used the mid to look up the user. Instead of using the mid, theBlackBerry AtHoc APIs now use the login_id to look up users. In version 2.0.0, you must make changesto XSL Mappings that were done to map the attribute from the LDAPSync Server to the BlackBerry AtHocattribute.
• Use of OAuth2 for authentication, which requires client provisioning per customer. For more information,including instructions for migrating from LDAP module 1.2.7 to 2.0.0, see the BlackBerry AtHoc LDAP DataIntegration Module Guide.
Integration manager changes
• Improved user interface; each agent opens in a new window.• "Metastore" was renamed to "Configuration" and a bigger text box was added to improve the ability to edit.• Agent's name is now read-only.• The Generic agent was removed.• Integration manager is now available on all supported browsers.
Management system updates
• A new out of the box IPAWS alert template was added.• An out of the box IIM monitor was added.• A warning is now displayed when an operator attempts to publish to all users.• Updated Walk-throughs for Integrated Weather Alerts were created.• Only one single sign on login page is required for Enterprise even when there are multiple sub organizations.• Self Service can now use Subject Alternative Name (SAN) for logins with a smart card.
Mass Device Manager changes
The following changes were made to the Mass Device Manager:
• Mass device users are now mass device endpoints.• New user interface for mass device endpoints manager.• Endpoints can be created for specific enabled devices.• Only relevant fields are displayed based on the selected device.• Mass devices are organized into the following categories:
• Giant Voice• Feed (RSS and XML)• Social (Twitter)• Common
• Fully supported on all supported browsers.
Mobile app updates
Mobile app release 3.4.1
• Support for Android O and iOS11 was added.

• Registration performance improvements. Once a user verifies their email, moving to the Org Code screen isabout three times as fast.
Mobile app release 3.5
• Silent alert delivery. A new option was added which enables alerts to be sent silently to the mobile app,regardless of the severity of the alert.
• The user registration user interface was updated. The "Use another email address" option was removed. Now,when you tap "Send another confirmation" the user is taken to the initial Registration screen.
• Mobile alert publishing now supports up to 4000 characters in the alert body.• The minimum supported OS versions are iOS 9 and Android OS 5.
Dynamics Mobile App release 3.5
• The dynamics mobile app was updated to provide the same features and functionality as the non-managedmobile app.
• The dynamics mobile app provides additional security.• Administrators can remotely push the dynamics mobile app, clear data, determine allowed integrations and
usage policies, and control access to the app.• Operators can publish alerts without VPN software.• Available as the BlackBerry AtHoc Dynamics app in the Apple App store and in the Google Play store.
Dynamics Mobile App release 4.0
• Complete overhaul of the user interface to align with the BlackBerry enterprise suite of apps and to incorporateplatform-native user interface components.
• New Alert Publisher summary screen.• Operators can edit targeted personal devices from the Alert Publisher.• Android permissions are now requested when a user taps on a feature that requires that permission, instead of
the user being asked for all permissions when they first install the mobile app.

Organization Settings page removal
The Organization Settings page has been removed. Content previously found on the Organization Settings pagecan now be found on these pages in the BlackBerry AtHoc management console:
• The Desktop Software tab is now available in the Desktop App settings page.• The Targeting and Delivery tab is now available in the General settings page.• The User Authentication & SDK is now available in the User Authentication settings page.
User sync web API preview mode
The user sync web API is now available in preview mode and supports the following actions:
• Synchronization of distribution lists• Synchronization of users• Creation of organization hierarchies• Authentication using OAuth2

Resolved issuesThe following issues were listed in past release notes as known issues and have been resolved in BlackBerryAtHoc Release 7.4.
Description Notes
The Date and Time are not shown correctly in User Tracking reports. —
Delivery of alerts on a phone device using the TAS (AtHoc Cloud East)gateway trims the alert body.
Ensure that alerts sent to TAShave a combined character count
of less than 3000 characters.
When user uniqueness is enabled, the check for duplicate users includesmass device users but should only check for end users.

Enterprise User Attributes: When a shape layer name is modified,the SP creates a new user attribute instead ofrenaming the existing attribute. Work around ismanually running the SP:
1. Log in to AtHoc and navigate to Settings > Mapand Layers > Shape Layers.
2. Click the Add a Layer link.3. Enter a layer name. For example: Cities4. Click the Import Data link.5. Import a shape layer file.6. Select the Predefined Zones check box and save.7. Log in to the database server and run
the following stored procedure execdbo.UTL_CREATE_ATTRIBUTE_FROM_LAYER< provider id>.
Where <provider id> is the 6-digit identifier forthe organization in which this attribute should becreated. For example “111111”
8. Return to AtHoc and navigate to Settings > UserAttributes.
9. Verify that the attribute with the layer name iscreated (attribute should be of type multi-selectpicklist).
10.Check the values for the attribute.The values (andthe number of values) should match the number ofshapes added in the imported shape layer file.
