USGA RULES SHALL GOVERN ALL PLAY EXCEPT WHERE MODIFIED BY THESE LOCAL RULES:
• Obstructions : Flower Beds, Cart Paths and their Extensions (Gravel or Dirt) and French Drains (Exposed or Covered) are all considered obstructions.
• Ball Unplayable Hole #13 : A player wishing to deem a Ball Unplayable when it comes to rest near the fence between the blue stakes and in bounds may drop a ball on the Gold Tee (penalty of one stroke).
• Pace of Play Guidelines : Slow play is a great concern for us. We require you to keep up with the group in front of you. Please play ready golf and do not fall out of position.
COURSE DESCRIPTION West Seattle GC opened for play in 1940 and was designed by two-time US Amateur Champion H. Chandler Egan who also penned such greats as Pebble Beach, Waverly CC and Indian Canyon. West Seattle GC offers a classic layout that includes hard sloping well bunkered greens, tree lined fairways and a meandering creek (Longfellow) that comes into play on many holes. The challenging, yet natural, architectural qualities attracted the USGA who awarded The National Public Links Championship to West Seattle GC in 1953 and it annually hosts the final round of The Seattle Amateur Championship. West Seattle GC is a true championship layout that continues to impress golfers year after year.
