Activity Report for Year 2015-2016

1) “AURA PERSONATICA – Matrix of Question”, A inter branch quiz competition (Written

Test) event organized on 4-08-2015. This event organizing for all level, all discipline since

last four years and it is very popular among the students: 1st round organize at nine

different classes and 302 students have participated. One teams selected from each

department so eight team comes in final round.

Final round of “AURA PERSONATICA – Matrix of Question” among eight teams organized

at an Auditorium on 6-08-2015.

Result: Winner – IT, Runner Up - Mechanical

2) Orientation program at BVM auditorium.

IEI (M & P) announced its new core committee for the year 2015-16. Prof B S Patel, Prof J

N Jain, Dr P M George, Dr A M Trivedi and other distinguished faculty members grace the

function. The fresher’s of the college witnessed the event and saw the hard work and

creativity of the IEI committee 2014-15 through photographs and presentation. The former

president blessed the new committee and the faculty members graced the occasion with

their presence and enlightening words. The new committee and its president vowed to

work hard and promise the quality of IEI events.

3) NAVIGATE – A Technical Competition.

This is a combined event of the IEI and ISTE, which was organized at 23rd Sept. 2015,

Wednesday. Adib Havaldar and Mohit Raina design the event. The campaigning started at 21st

Sept 2015, Monday. There were 29 teams’ entries from 2nd and 3rd year. The first round of the

event was 50 questions, which include aptitude and technical. After this round, 17 teams were

qualified for next round, which was on Thursday. The second round was picture perception. In this,

30 questions shown on display, and team had to give proper one answer for this. From this round,

six teams selected for final round in which 4 teams from 3rd year and 2 teams from 2nd year. The

final round is the boat making with propeller. Committee provide the material to them, and 3 hours

to make the boat. After that at 4 pm, the boats tested according to their distance cover and weight

carrying capacity. From this, three teams nominated for winner, first runners up and second

runners up. Prof. B. S .Patel facilitated them with certificate, and sir decided to give certificate to all

participants’ teams.

4) IAS-UPSC-GPSC- IRS-IPS-IFS Preparation Seminar and Scholarship Test

A seminar cum scholarship test was hosted by IEI on 28th September, Monday for students of 2nd

and 3rd year. 155 students have participated in above program. Speaker from Chahal Academy

invited for giving the seminar. Future scopes of Civil Services like IAS, IRS, IFS, and IPS

discussed. They also guided about the preparations for the entrance exams required to enter civil

services. They discussed about preparations for GPSC and UPSC. Finally, they conducted a

scholarship test for students and the students who scored good marks handed scholarship

according to their results.

5) A Technical Visit to Sardar Sarovar Dam for SYBE students organized on 08-10-2015.

Sixty students have participated in above program.

6) A seminar on “Overseas employment and career information for engineering students” on 20-10-

2017. 310 students have participated in above seminar

7) A Technical Visit to Sardar Sarovar Dam for TYBE students organized on 20-10-2015. Sixty

students have participated in above program. Sixty-one students have participated in above

program.

8) SARDAR PATEL JAYANTI celebrated on 30-10-2015 at B V M Auditorium and 178+

students and staff has participated.

The program includes Prayer Documentary film: a. A short film on statue of unity

b. Life of Sardar Patel, Quiz, Debate, Elocution and Essay Competition, Book Reading

(Nandish Bhatt), Expert Lecture on Life of Sardar Patel (BY Prof F R Vora), Address by

Principal, Vote of Thanks (Prof B S Patel) and National Anthem

9) The Institution of Engineers (India), Gujarat State Centre announces Elocution Competition

2016 for students studying in the engineering colleges and Universities located within Gujarat

State on 9-03-2016.

The following topics:

a) Is climate change really affecting our lives?

b) Conservation of energy & water – the need of the hour

c) Technological development for the upliftment of society

d) Making Indian engineering world class

e) Smart City concept — Is it practicable in India?

f) Above ELOCUTION COMPETITION organized on 9-3-2016 and 20 students participated

in above competition.

Winner is Yash Pandya from Electrical 2nd Year Enrollment no.140070109040. HE is

send at Gujarat state center for second round.

10) Aura Personatica, a Personality contest, first round (Quiz) organize on 17-03-

2016. It was conducted in 8 class rooms and 421 students participated.

Aura Personatica, second round (Personality Contest) organize on 18-03-2017 at

BVM Auditorium. Two students from each branch finalized for this round.
