My adaptation

• My adaptation is a film version of bioshock the game.

• I have chosen this as I believe it would make a great interactive movie just like the games.

• I believe it will make a good film due to the level of detail in the games which will be good to convert into a feature length movie.

Genre and narative

• The genre I am going for is mystery thriller as the film holds a lot of secrets and jump scares.

• The subgenre would be thriller as it isn’t overall a scary adaptation but certain points of intense action will create the feeling of fear.

• The equilibrium will be when he is on the plane.• The disruption will be when the plane catches fire.• The recognition will be when he begins to sink.• The reaction will be when he sees his reflection in the iced

over door.• The re-equilibrium will be when he realises he is trapped.

Constraints and opportunities

• In this film I think it has a great opportunity to be made into a sequel by how in-depth the story line is.

• The constraints is that budget will play a huge role in the making of it.

Target audience

• The target audience for my film is gamers and mystery-thriller fans.

• I will target the younger audience 15+ as they have most likely played the games and grown up with the franchise.

Cinematic ideas

• Within my film the basic idea is to have it shot in first person perspective and to only see the main actor’s hands and see him through reflections. I believe this helps go with the game’s concept.

• This is my favorite scene where you see Jack for the first time through a reflection and see and hear the reaction.
