of Earth’s biomes• The ground is usually
frozen.• This biome has the least
biodiversity of any biome
• Northern Canada and Alaska are tundra.
• Color the Tundra light blue.
Taiga• This biome is made up of
coniferous trees and is the largest of all biomes
• Summers can be sunny but temperatures rarely climb beyond 60 degrees.

• The grasslands used to be covered in buffalo
• The Midwest (middle of the country) is grassland.
• Color the Grassland yellow.

more rain than deserts but less than forest biomes
• There are often forest fires here
• Parts of California are chaparral
• Color the chaparral brown.
Tropical Rainforest• Tropical Rainforests receive
massive amounts of rain and have the greatest biodiversity in the world
• The eastern edge of Mexico, Central America, Hawaii, and the Caribbean Islands are all Tropical Rain Forest.
• Color the Tropical Rain Forest purple.
