Biology I Honors Extra Credit Assignment (Drumm)
Design Your Own Organism Project
Information for Students: In order to score any points for this
assignment, students must complete all sections. Total points given
and added to the final Q3 grade will be dependent on the student’s
grade on the project, as shown in the rubric below. Answers will be
graded for accuracy and points will be deducted for any incorrect
or incomplete answers.
NOTE: It is expected that students do their own work for this
assignment. Any work that appears to be blatantly copied from a
classmate’s work will void the score for that student’s
assignment.
Grading Rubric
5 points-Overall score of 90-100% on project; all questions and
sections completed
4 points-Overall score of 80-89% on project; all questions and
sections completed
3 points-Overall score of 70-79% on project; all questions and
sections completed
Timeline: All work is due no later than 11:59 pm on Monday, May
11, 2020. If work is not time-stamped before that time and date, no
points will be awarded.
How to Submit: The project pages are in PDF format. There are
several options for submission:
Choose the option below that works best for you.The easiest
option: Open the PDF in Adobe, type in your answers, save a copy,
and email to your teacher by the due

Open the PDF, create a word document, clearly type out each
question and the answer.
Print the PDF, neatly write in your answers to the questions,
take a well-lit photo of your completed pages, email all pages to
your teacher. (Note: If you are having trouble reading your work in
your photo, your teacher will have trouble, too. Make sure your
photo is in good light, and is easy to see. If you are an iPhone
user, your “Notes” app has a Scan option that works well for
this.)
