their position in the food chain. The

disappearance of a species causes a

breakdown of this harmonious link and

harms the environment.

Biodiversity

"Bio" means "life" and diversity means "variety". So

biodiversity is the variety of life forms that we find on

Earth.

because there are plenty of forests, woods

and pine forests.
