Zoological gardensAzoo(short forzoological parkorzoological garden, and also called amenagerie) is a facility in which animals are confined within enclosures, displayed to the public, and in which they may also be bred. In India there are 169 zoos. The zoo authority of India provides financial assistance and donations of animals that are both domestic and foreign for breeding programs
Botanical parksBotanical gardens play an important role in conserving plant species. They have a collection of living plants for reference . plants are grown for identification purposes and each of these plants indicate a scientific name a vernacular name and a common name.There are also other methods of conserving plant biodiversity such as establishment of seed ,pollen banks and tissue culture labs.
