VAL VENOSTA - HOME OF MOTHER NATURE.

Mother Nature is of utmost importance for the apple product ion in Va l Venosta, as the signifi cant difference in temperature between day and night results in apples rich in natural sugar that have a typical crisp and juicy pulp.

An oasis of naturalness with a very special microclimate. The extraordinary taste of Val Venosta apples is mainly the result of the area where these apples grow. The cultivation areas situated at altitudes between 500 and 1,000 m are favoured by the special climate with more than 300 days of sun a year, less than 500 mm of precipitation per year and a signifi cant difference in temperature between day and night. It is here, in the middle of marvellous landscapes full of contrasts, that you can fi nd ideal conditions for the cultivation of excellent apples. The high quality of the apples, however, is not only the result of the special microclimate, but also of the natural cultivation method, the so-called integrated production which allows minimal use of pesticides. As ladybirds are used for fi ghting against pests, this friendly insect was chosen as the symbol of Val Venosta apples and is now represented on our quality label together with the green meadows of Val Venosta and the blue sky. We mustn’t forget to thank Mother Nature for her generosity!
