Chocolate, marshmallow, whole grain, puffed, rice, naturally sweet, fruit added – is there no end to the cereals that line grocery store shelves?

As the manager, you now have to make a crucial decision. Two popular brands will have to go, and you know that some of your regular customers won’t be too happy about that.

As you carefully make your choices, consider your own personal philosophy: Do you feel the nutritional value of the cereal is an important consideration? Are you more interested in what will sell best, even is it is a sugary mouth of empty calories?

Be specific in your choices and then create a customer notice to attach to the areas where the two cereals will no longer be on display. Use your most apologetic tone to explain the necessary change.

Chocolate Meltdown10/18/12

Christopher Columbus just didn’t get it! When he was offered cocoa beans, he thought, “Really? This is the best you’ve got?” Later, however, the explorer Cortez saw many possibilities in this Aztec wonder.

In fact, it was said that Emperor Montezuma was served up to fifty cups of this bitter liquid daily. Suppose, however, that chocolate did not make its way into the New World, but disappeared like the Aztecs.

Just think of what the world would be like without chocolate. Aside from not enjoying your favorite candy bar, think of four different effects it’s absence would have on your day-to-day life.

Use the transitions below to complete each statement.

The secret of chocolate disappeared when Emperor Montezuma died.

As a result,

Thus,

Therefore,

Sample ParagraphHigh School Teachers have many job responsibilities. They have to grade papers, plan lessons, and keep attendance records. Teachers must grade papers so students can be assessed and given grades. They also must plan daily lessons to teach. Finally, teachers also must keep track of which students attend their class. This is important because by law children under the age of 18 must attend school. High School Teachers have a very busy work day. (Source)
