The quantities given in the Bill of quantities are estimated quantities only. The rates and prices shall be quoted entirely in Indian Currency. 1. 05. The tenderers will have to state clearly their willingness to execute the work at certain specific percentage of excess or less or at par of the ECV indicated at the space provided. The tenderer should quote his offer as a overall tender percentage. The Schedule –A (or BOQ) contains not only the quantities but also the rates worked out by the Department and the amount for each item and total value of the estimated contract. The tenderer should workout his own rates keeping in view of the work, site conditions and quote his overall tender percentage with which he intends to execute the work. The bid offer shall be for the whole work and not for individual items / part of the work. All duties, taxes (except service tax), royalties and other levies payable by the Contractor under the Contract, or for any other cause, shall be included in the rates, prices, and total Bid price submitted by the Bidder. The service tax shall be reimbursed (if applicable) subject to production of proof of such payment by the contractor specific to the subject work. The rates and prices quoted by the Bidder shall be fixed for the duration of the Contract and shall not be subject to adjustment. 1. 06. Tenders with an excess of above 5% of the estimated contract value shall summarily be rejected. 1. 07. For tenders up to 25% less than the estimated contract value of work, no additional security deposit is required. The contractor shall maintain guard rails, railings, crash barriers, road furniture etc. in good condition by cleaning them frequently as advised / required by using suitable detergents/chemicals.

of work.

1. 05. The tenderers will have to state clearly their willingness to execute the work at certain

• The staff of the contractor shall wear safety jackets, shoes, helmets etc. while on duty and any violation will attract a fine of Rs. 5,000/- for each incident.
• Failure to erect safety signage or trying to carry out the works without proper precautions/safety measures as required will attract a fine of Rs. 5,000/- for each incident.
• The Contractor has to submit documentary evidence in support of an incident. Accordingly, the required number of photographs has to be taken with time and dates and to be submitted as per BOQ item. The set represents for each incident and number of photos in each set shall be as per requirement and can not be defined
1. 09. The Tendered rate for incident Management shall include all equipment, labour,
material, consumable, tools, spares and other incidentals to comply with the
Requirement of the scope of the work and technical specifications.
1. 10. General directions and descriptions of work and materials are not necessarily repeated
or summarized in the Bill of Quantities. Reference to the relevant sections of the bidding
document shall go through before bidding.
1. 11. All the items indicated in the BOQ may not be necessitated for execution. The
maintenance works as necessitated only have to be taken up.
1. 12. Salvage Material viz damaged crash barriers, fencing, sign boards, debris,etc. shall be
the property of the O&M Contractor and he has to dispose off the same from the site at
his cost and keep the site clean from debries / scrap etc. No site will be shown to the
contractor for disposal/dumping of the Salvage Material.
1. 13. For fulfillment of the clauses under Scope of work, no amount will be paid and it is
deemed that the rates quoted for the items in the BOQ are covered for the purpose.
