NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD

We find a sense of peace in Jesus everywhere He went because He knew the path before Him was never really blocked. He wasn’t arrogant but He saw the true nature of the world we live in. Everything in our universe is being held together by an almighty, all-powerful, all-knowing, and limitless God who is still caring for His children today. We get so worked up over silly and often times little things and we miss the big picture that the creator of the heavens and earth is in complete control.

If this is true, then there is no reason to concern ourselves over conflicts, barriers, trials, or cares. Have faith that God knows our circumstances and is capable of doing anything. Trust Him, He knows what we need.

Starting January 18, you may sign up to participate in a life group. I hope you will take advantage of the opportunity! And I hope some of you will accept the challenge to become a life group leader. Here are three reasons I am supportive of life groups:

They remind me of what I think the early church was like. There were no large churches in the early centuries—believers mostly met in homes, meaning the size of the groups had to be relatively small.

Deep fellowship can be nurtured there. We can get to know each other at a deeper level because we can interact more openly. In a life group you are not looking at the back of someone’s head and remaining quiet while only one person speaks. There is give and take—a sharing of questions and thoughts. It is an environment in which we can share our struggles as well as our victories—our weaknesses as well as our strengths—and we can pray more personally for one another.

Deep bonds of friendship and fellowship grow more easily in small groups. Members of those groups feel a deeper connection with one another, and a more natural sense of responsibility for and accountability to one another. No one ever falls through the cracks when they are an active part of a life group.

You can give and receive a blessing by participating!

Weather Alert and Snow Policy

We would remind everyone that on Sundays during

the winter season, if there appears to be a travel safety situation due to snow accumulation or icy roads, we will only have one morning worship at

10:30 a.m. with no Bible classes or evening service. Please call the Church office and listen to the message to see if we are running on that

altered schedule. On Wednesdays, if Ezell Harding School is out due to snow, ice, or other

inclement weather or closes early for that reason, we will not have our evening service.

You may also submit your name and phone number to receive a text alert. Please email

[email protected]. Check your TV and radio reports.

Some areas of the city are more treacherous in bad weather than others, so we ask that you always use your best judgment on whether it is safe for you to

get out.
