Facts and Figures…
• Tanker 8064 is a 1981 tanker operated by the Remlap Fire and EMS District located in central Alabama.
• The rig was built locally using an InternaMonal chassis; it is also powered by a diesel motor.
• Tanker 8064 carries 1,500 gallons of water and has no pump.
• It is equipped with a 6 x 12-‐inch rear dump; two, 1,500-‐gallon dump tanks; and a 4-‐inch direct fill line.
• The Remlap Fire and EMS District, along with several other fire departments protect the small town and rural areas of Blount County, Alabama.

Tanker 8064 is one of two, similar tankers operated by the Remlap Fire and EMS District. The two tankers make a nice “water hauling duo.”

Carrying two dump tanks is a unique feature not oZen seen on a tradiMonal tanker. The two tanks certainly make the rig more versaMle in terms of helping out at dump sites AND fill sites. Plus, the 4-‐inch direct fill allows this tanker to load fast and get back on the road!

The rectangular dump chute/valve on Tanker 8064 is a rather unique feature on this tanker.

We have seen this style of dump on a tanker from Chile; this is the first Mme we have seen one on a U.S. tanker.
