January 5, 2012 8:21 ESTFBS National Championship Game Its
impossible to get caught on the sidelines with all the sporting
events Atlanta has to offer. We plan on making this the biggest
most unique national championship game in college football history.
This will be the first championship game to succeed the playoff
that will be implemented in 2014. Atlanta is the only choice for
this event. We ultimately want to provide the best national
championship game atmosphere second to none.
Our Mission and VisionThe Bayou Gladiators committee was created
in 2012 with the mission of generating tourism for the Atlanta area
through an annual football game and other supporting events. The
non-profit, sports organization that promotes and serves the
Atlanta area is just beginning and we plan on becoming a
cornerstone of the entire Atlanta community. The committee is aided
by community volunteers who make us, our events, and our community
stronger. The Chick Fil A bowl brand has helped put Atlanta on the
map and build the community into the tourist destination it is
today. We feel like the National Championship will only enhance
this beautiful and colorful city. Bolstering the Economy2014-15
will mark the first time Atlanta doubles as host city to the Chick
Fil A bowl and also the FBS National Championship. The committee
works to ensure that Atlanta remains a viable and one of the elite
cities to host a bowl game. We feel like our bowl game and
affiliated events can attract tens of thousands of visitors who
will fuel the local economy with millions of dollars. This means
jobs and benefits for local hospitality and service industries and
vendors, in line with our mission of serving the Atlanta community.
We can add a much needed economic impact and media value during
mediocre times for the economy. Support of Intercollegiate
Athletics and Higher EducationWith the expected income we plan to
obtain, we will be able to distribute funds to hundreds of
universities throughout the country. Participating schools and
conferences will receive funds in excess of $20 million dollars. We
will provide hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding for
scholarships to high school students who show exemplary academic
excellence and to institutions of higher learning. Support of
Events, Organizations and CausesThe committee supports
organizations and events both in and outside of Atlanta on an
annual basis, benefitting numerous charities, funds and groups. In
addition to this annual support, the committee is also there in
times of need, providing funding to those impacted by adverse
circumstances, and will continue to do so in the future. Support of
Youth Programs The committee benefits thousands of Atlanta youth by
generating youth sports leagues, events and competitions and
funding an array of grants, donations and community programs to
support this competition.

PromotionWe will promote through social media using twitter and
facebook as the driving force for that. First year advertising will
be the most since we are just getting this event up off of the
ground. Selling technique that we will use is prospecting, Letting
the consumers know how much value they would get by consuming our
product or attending/watching our game.
CompetitionWe wont have any real competition in the area besides
the Atlanta Hawks but we do not think that will be a problem since
that is in a different demographic than what we would be
targeting.
