Working Groups

A working group methodology allowed to discuss the topics selected by the partners as strategic for fostering knowledge and excellence of the Nano sector in their regions. Three macro-topics were identified:

1.SMEs-Research relationship: how to foster the use of research infrastructures for SMEs.

2.Creativity / Art & Science methodology application. Supporting the generation of new ideas

3.Joint mobility schemes

Foresight ExerciseThe exercise:•Focused on trans-regional actions;•Compared the values assigned by each partner area to each action; •Identified the most effective and implementable actions.

The session involved the partners and the Advisory Group, leaded by a facilitator.

Advisory GroupGroup of four experts

• providing an external point of view and a fresh input on possible ways and tools for joint collaboration,

• suggesting successful cases in the EU

Why KEEN is smart?• One priority: Nano/Micro

• Participatory process (triple helix represented)

• Learning process – analysis of research infrastructures/policy schemes– exploration of the business needs – SWOT– mutual visits– international context analysis

• Brainstorming and discovery of cross-border complementarities– Working Groups– Regional meetings– Foresight exercise
