Thank you, all of you who sent in your nominations. For 2010 awards we plan to make nominating available online. All entries were entered into a competition to win a place on Wilderness Survival Skills - Wilderness Awakening 4th - 9th July 2010. Worth £485
“During these five days the Wilderness will become your best friend. Plants and trees you once walked past without noticing will reveal themselves to you in the form of food, medicine, cordage, fire, shelter, direction pointers, fresh water indicators and even a never-ending tool box. This course balances a wealth of information with time to put the skills into practice. These skills, once mastered and fully understood, will always be with you, wherever you are in the world. Shelter building, friction fire-lighting, wild-food foraging, trapping, game preparation, hunting and stalking, wooden-spoon carving, and locating safe water are just some of the skills covered during your five-day course." The winner is Sam Palmer from Carmarthen.
