BeOne bikes have come a long way in our ten year history. We started out building

custom downhill frames that not only earned us a reputation for quality and innovation,

but also several world cup trophies.

We have stood by our philosophy of form follows function and have kept our design as

simple as possibile. Sounds strange... not if you think about it. Technology that works

isn’t always about complexity or extrovert design. It’s about tried and tested engineering

that performs efficiently under all circumstances. We don’t just follow every new fad

that comes along, instead we apply design for just one purpose; to enhance the ride.

The BeOne Team plays an important role in this by providing an ideal platform to try new

developments. At this level of competition, the bikes are pushed above and beyond the

limit. There is no better way to test material before it is incorporated into the ready to

ride line-up.

Allows for smoother power transfer with substanial reduction in vibration.

Patented technology; an I-Beam inner structure separates the tube into 2 sections providing additional support to the inside walls. This results in a lighter and stiffer construction.

Unidirectional Carbon; We use hi-modulus carbon, which is 60% stiffer than regular carbon for our new Team Edition and Rosso frames. The frame is prepared in a specially designed matrix.

The strands are bonded using especially developed resins to ensure maximum stiffness.

BeOne specific shaped alloy tubing.

Alloy tubing with butting to reduce weight while maintaining stiffness.

Delta shaped tubing distributes stress more evenly resulting in a stiffer chainstay.

All BeOne bikes are constructed from A 6061 high grade aluminium alloy, with T4/T6

heat treatment to provide higher stress resistance and durability. Additionally most

tubing is butted to reduce weight while still maintaining strength to weight ratio.

CAD/CAM frame design and custom frame molding process allows us to shape tubes and

build frames with maximum strength and stiffness where it’s most needed, at the BB

and HT junctions. BB shells, dropouts, yokes,rocker arms and links are forged and CNC’d.

All BeOne technology is thoroughly tested. We use only the highest quality materials

and vendors to build our bikes.

The new BeOne Chain Reaction Cycles team was established during 2007 with the intention

of strengthening the BeOne brand experience, in terms of both technology and emotion.

The team is working hard towards fulfilling it’s aspirations of climbing to top position

within The Benelux and of making an impact on the European mountain biking scene. They

have continued to deliver outstanding performance including a National Championship

and within just one year even a nomination for the 2008 Olympics!

When we started working on the new Nirvana 2008 full suspension bike, the first thing

we did was evaluate the different systems currently on the market. From VPS to Fourbar

linkage, to Horst link. From this we compiled data based on the pro’s and con’s of the

tested systems and distilled a list of parameters of what we thought a modern full

suspension bike needs to conform to.

These requirements coupled with our own riding experience convinced us that a single

pivot swingarm paired with a linkage system was the way to go.

The real challenge lay in designing a suspension system that is active on impact but

stable while pedalling.

We spent almost a year sifting through the data we had on suspension systems and

on how to manipulate and refine the system to achieve our set targets. Using various

methods of computer analysis together with field testing of prototypes resulted in the

solution we think is one of the most stable platforms we have ever tested. With this the

new TLS or Twin Linkage System was born.

With TLS we have a stable system while charging up climbs and a plush system when

barreling downhill. The twist to TLS is the sweet spot at the beginning of the curve. This

substantially reduces pedal induced bob. No matter which way you’re going, TLS provides

an incredibely stable platform resulting in a much higher conversion rate of energy. Don’t

just take our word for it...try it yourself...
