While classrooms have been enclosed by partial height walls, acoustics have not been appreciably improved, and daylight remains insufficient. Interior finishes are in fair condition, and show age-related wear. Hard gym surfaces are not conducive to athletic activity. Level changes throughout corridors create accessibility issues, and the spatial layout makes wayfinding difficult. Exterior cladding is in fair condition, and shows some staining. Exterior windows do not provide adequate thermal insulation, and frames show corrosion. Mechanical and plumbing systems, especially the HVAC system, require significant upgrades. A back-flow preventer is needed. Electrical systems are in fair condition. The site is constricted and vehicle circulation is not adequate.
