    Module 26107-08Hand Bending

Lesson 1 of 3: Introduction to Hand Bending

This lesson is a classroom and lab session in which the students will beintroduced to hand-operated equipment that is used to make bends in all types of conduit, including electrical metallic tubing (EMT), P !, and rigid conduit" Thelesson will conclude with a performance requirement in which the students willmake a #$% bend and back-to-back bends in EMT using a hand bender"

    Ob ecti!es

&pon completion of this lesson, the student should be able to'

" dentify *arious types of hand bending equipment and on what type ofconduit it is used"

+" pply basic geometric rules in making #$% bends in conduit"

" Make a single #$% bend in EMT"
