I cannot believe that Thanksgiving is around the corner! This time of year I think all of us take a little bit more time to reflect on our blessings. I would like to thank our residents and family members, for continuing to place their trust in Belmont Village. It has been my privilege to serve as Executive Director for the past 12½ years. During this time I have seen residents welcome and support new residents. I have witnessed the kindness of family members to other residents, as well as their own loved one. I am so grateful for the rich memories and experiences Belmont Village has given me. Typically I interview one of our residents for the newsletter, sometimes a member of our team. Just to sit, listen and absorb the stories of our seniors is an amazing gift. Sometimes I get caught up in listening and forget to take notes. I know I speak for all the team members of our Belmont family, our residents enrich our lives every day. I am so thankful for our staff, who open their hearts and provide compassionate care to our seniors. Finally, we are so appreciative of our families. Thank you for your continued faith in our team. Because you partner with us, share ideas and join our activities and events, you help to create a sense of community. I wish to all our residents, family members and team members a happy and healthy season of Thanksgiving. —Maureen Maureen Chippas The Administrative Team with our neighborhood “buffalo” as we cheer on the Chicago CUBS!
