Halftone Separations

Gather your cumbersome CMYK halftone separation films…
Separation Scanning
Step Two:
Place them on any transparency scanner, and scan each individual film in 8-bit Grayscale mode
Calibration
Step Three:Calibrate to create adaptive and corrective threshold tables to capture exact dot densities when processing your images.
With your choice of either Automatic, or Manual Calibration, you are guaranteed to find just the right method of Calibration that suits your output requirements.
Dot2Dot ConversionStep Four (Method 1):
RepliDot allows you to completely convert a scanned halftone film into a high-quality bitmap digital file taking into account the smoothness of vignettes and the sharpness of text.
Your Grayscale to Bitmap conversion will simply stun you with the accuracy and precision of the output file, thanks to RepliDot’s Advanced Adaptive Threshold Technology.
Digital Descreening for Optimum Speed & Flexibility Step Four (Method 2):
Through the use of advanced algorithms, RepliDot's Digital Descreening feature reproduces a screened film, leaving you with an editable digital image in a continuous shade.
If you need to make last minute changes to the Copydot file, RepliDot’s Digital Descreening is the your best pick.
Automatic Registration of Digital SeparationsStep Five:Registering films has never been so easy with the RepliDot Merge feature.
The Digital Film Alignment process uses the four converted digital separation files to create a DCS set of files known as a Copydot file.
This Copydot file consists of:
