Notice of Filing of Proof of Publication

Kentucky Power Company hereby files with the Public Service Commission of Kentucky

the Affidavit of Rachel McCarty, the list of newspapers publishing the legal notice, and

accompanying tear sheets as proof of its publication of the required notices of the April 9, 2013

hearing in this matter.

Kentucky Power further informs the Commission that the Elliott County News failed to

publish the notice of the hearing within the required period. The paper confirmed that it received

the ad in time to publish it within the required period, and in fact the ad was scheduled to run

during that period, but for reasons unknown to Kentucky Power the notice was not published as

scheduled. The Elliott County News is a weekly paper, and the next edition (April 5, 2013) was

outside the required publication period.
