BeenVerified Holiday Hackathon Throwdown

What  to  do  this  Holiday  Season?  

BV  Holiday  Hackathon      

* When:  Thursday  December  16th  * Where:  BV  Offices  * Start  Time:  9AM      

The  DETAILS    

* Two  equally  equipped  teams,  competing  for  untold  glory  and  riches.    

* One  full  day  building  and  developing  whatever  application,  game,  plugin,  protocol,  framework,  and/or  technology  that  your  team  chooses  

THE  COMPETITION    

* 5  Categories-­‐  1  Winner  Per  Category:  * Uniqueness  * Market  Viability  * Scalability    * How  Production  Ready?  * Most  Entertainment  Value  

THE  VOTING  

*  Roughly  two  weeks  to  start  discussing  and  researching  your  idea  

 *  Not  a  single  line  of  code,  pixel  of  design,  or  outline  of  a  wireframe  can  be  prepared  until  START  time  Thursday  AM.  

*  BV  Relevant,  however  irrelevant!  

RULEZ  

*  Code  Freeze  at  10pm.  Code  must  be  done  and  pushed  to  GitHub  by  exactly  10PM.  

 *  You  can  use  any  open  source  technology,  API,  or  BV  code,  data,  servers,  images,  

*  Each  team  can  have  1  brainstorming  lunch  before  Thursday      

RULEZ  

 *  Team  names  must  be  submitted  by  Friday  December  10th.      *  Must  be  MVP  (Minimum  Viable  Product).  Main  functionality  must  be  working.  

*  Drinking  will  commence  after  1:30  PM  (and  no  driving!)        

RULEZ  

* Each  team  will  be  given  a  $250  creative  budget  for  stock  graphics  and  icons,  software,  data  whatever  

*   As  well  as  a  $100.00  alcohol  budget.
