Study centres are advised to encourage and guide learners for the application process. Study Centres must contact concerned regional centers for list of learners with details (Name, enrollment No., Father’s Name, ADDRESS, Contact No., Email, Optional Courses etc.) Normally the list can be made available by Regional Centre for BEDSE Programmes by August. Learners may be guided for any change in name fathers name, address, optional courses etc. to be done through concerned Regional Centres. Unless required changes are made formally; changes will not be incorporated for official purposes. On receipt of the list of admitted learners; SSCs are advised to intimate the same to the learners through telephone / SMS / email / mail. b. Student Card Each learner must possess a student card issued by the Regional Director within 30 days of confirmation of admission (September). SSC must redirect learners without student card to the concerned Regional Centres to collect the same.

a. Admission :

Counseling sessions must be scheduled as per session wise distribution provided
in the programme guide. (enclosed)
Intimation regarding counseling sessions must reach the learners through
telephone / SMS / email / mail.
Counseling session’s details must be displayed in the notice board by SSCs.
Course wise eligibility of counselors must be maintained.
SSCs must get course wise approval for counselors through the regional centers
through prescribed format.
SSCs must ensure that they have at least one minimum counselor approved for
each theory and practical course (One counselor may be appointed for as many
courses depending on fulfillment of eligibility criteria).
Counselling hours as per norm must be completed ensuring quality in both theory
and practical inputs.
Attendance record must be maintained for each counseling session on day to day
basis.
Learners signature on attendance sheet must be taken in both entry and exit time.
Without prescribed percentage of attendance counselors are not authorized to sign
and forward the TEE form.
Learners with less than 75% attendance must attend counseling session with the
subsequent batch to be eligible for TEE.

Eligibility for TEE
1. All fees must be fully paid.
2. Learner should have opted & pursued the prescribed course.
3. Learner should have submitted the assignment for the respective course. 4. You must have acquired the pass marks in the internal practical examination plus
assignment. Internal assessment marks must be submitted before the Term End Examinations
by the Special Study Centre to respective Regional Centres.
5. Term End examination form along with requisite fees/late fee as applicable must be submitted as per university schedule.
6. Minimum time to pursue these courses must elapsed
The University will conduct the term-end examination. Examination details will be uploaded in
IGNOU website a month before the actual dates of final university examination
Study Centers Coordinators are required to sign and stamp the TEE form
validating the submission of assignment for each course applied for.
List of exam centers are available with respective regional centers. SSC must
guide learners for their choice of examination center anywhere in the country;
however learner must submit the TEE form to the Regional Center under which
s/he wishes to appear the TEE.
g. Assignment Awards

Assignment awards must be submitted to Regional Center as per the following
schedule
1. For June TEE before 30th

2. For December TEE before 30th
November
Assignments awards must be submitted in the prescribed format.
Separate award list must be submitted for each course.
Copy of award list must be retained at the study center.
For those learners who fail in assignment awards; must be guided to resubmit
assignments for the subsequent examination.

h. Practical TEE
Practical TEE must be scheduled at least one month in advance as per the following
schedule:
For June TEE between May to June (not to clash with Theory TEE)
For BEDSE practical TEE will held only for June TEE.
List of external examiner for each course must be submitted to Regional Center
External Examiner for each course must be eligible as per norm laid down for each
course.
Each learner must be intimated well before time for practical TEE vides email / mail /
sms / telephone.
Practical Examination for each course to be conducted separately.
Internal examiner and External examiner must be deputed for each course; however
depending on qualification one examiner may be deputed for two or more courses
also.
Every component in each course must be evaluated including separate records and
viva -voce.
Not more than 2 courses to be evaluated on a single day.
Wherever necessary examiners are required to observe learner on practical task as per
course requirement for evaluation.

Practical Examinations to be conducted subject to following conditions:
a) Submission of individual practical records for each practical component.
b) Completion certificate of supervised lessons/ supervised practical.
c) Completion of minimum duration for eligibility to appear TEE.
d) 75% attendance in the counseling sessions will remain a prerequisite in allowing the
learners to appear the examination.
Practical Awards:
Separate formats to be used for each course.
Each format must be duly complete in all respect and duly signed and stamped.
Marks will be awarded for each course as follows:
Internal Marks; Total Marks : (max. 20), Pass Marks: 08,
External Marks: Total Marks : (max. 30), Pass Mark: 12
Total Marks: (max. 50), Pass Mark: 20
Award for MMDL 027 to be given in second year only based on evaluation in both 1st &
2nd
year i.e. examination may be conducted separately in both 1st and 2
nd year and
cumulative total of maximum 50 to be awarded. MMDL 027 awards to be sent along with
2nd
year practical course awards.
Learners must pass with minimum 40% marks in each practical courses, 40% marks in
each component of the practical courses and 40%marks in each internal and external
examination separately.
Marks will be converted by IGNOU in relation to credit assigned to each course.
It is advised that the learners and study centres check the entry of the course in the
admission data and make necessary rectification if any in consultation with regional
directors before appearing/conducting the examination, failing which results of the

non-opted/ non-entered/ non registered courses as per admission data will not be
declared.
Award list must be accompanied by the attendance status showing over all percentage of
attendance in the counselling sessions.
Award list to be submitted to the concerned IGNOU Regional Centres in duly signed
and sealed envelope.
A copy of award list must be retained at the center for any future use.
Award lists must be submitted to concerned IGNOU Regional Centers on or before 5th
June for June TEE.

Issue of Examination Hall Ticket
University issues Examination Hall Ticket to the student’s at least two week before the
Commencement of Term-end Examination. The same could also be downloaded from the
University’s website www.ignou.ac.in. In case any student fails to receive the Examination Hall
Ticket within one week before the commencement of the examination, the student can download
the hall ticket from the website and approach the exam centre with Student Identity Card for
