My teaching philosophyFirst, to begin with I must tell you straight,That teaching for me, is a question of fate. Not just a job, oh no not for me,I have not a doubt, it's what I was born to be. My parents, both teachers, so it's somewhat innate,But there are many more reasons why I think it's great.Yes, so many great reasons, a teacher to be,Put together, they make up, my philosophy. It's to treat every student, as though they're worthwhile,By praising their work, or simply offering a smile. It's a chance to change lives, to build their esteem,To show them that truly, they can reach their dreams. This can only be done though, with patience and work,You can never give up and just go berserk! Each child cannot learn in the same time and way,You must find new ways of teaching, even in the one day.
There are all kinds of brains and all kinds of smart,A truly great teacher, sees this from the start. Not everyone learns by reading words in a book,Some need to touch things, to hear or to look. In teaching their minds, you must tend to their hearts,Create a caring environment, don't drive them apart.Teach respect, love and kindness, build from inside,Then you'll have a classroom, just beaming with pride. You must see the whole story, not just day by day,Consider the child in context, now that's the right way! That way you can truly attend to their needs,So their minds and their spirits, can really be freed To be given the chance to help a child growThere is no greater feeling, on Earth, that I know.So for all of these reasons, teaching you see,Is the ONLY job on this Earth, that's for me.
