No navigation announcements are output although the mute option is not active in the route guidance menu. Proper functioning is restored following a reset or a length idle period , or after briefly removing the navigation module (A2/30) from the cradle (A2/30-1) in the glove compartment.

Only affects navigation modules (A2/30) with the following software releases, visible in the control unit log (see attach-ment):

1.) Interface software (Automotive Software) in navigation module (A2/30) prior to version 12/48.00 (A 166 902 11 05)

2.) Navigation software (PND software) in navigation module (A2/30) prior to version 2.5.26

Cause: Software in navigation module (A2/30).

Remedy: Perform the following software updates in the navigation module (A2/30):

1.) Update interface software (Automotive Software) in navigation module (A2/30) to version 12/48.00 (A 166 902 11 05), available as of XENTRY Diagnostics release 03/13 with add-on 2827 or XENTRY Diagnostics release 05/13 with add-on 2828, or higher.

2.) Update navigation software (PND software) and firmware in navigation module (A2/30) using Becker Content Ma-nager:

- Navigation software to software version 2.5.26, available as of Week 12/13, or higher.

- Firmware to software version R26.3.0130, available as of Week 12/13, or higher

Note:

The updates of the navigation software (PND software) and firmware must be performed using the current Becker Content Manager. The checks for updates on launching the Becker Content Manager must be activated in the "Set-tings" menu (see attachment). To update the navigation software, it may be necessary to perform a free-of-charge up-
