This was our 20 th year performing in the Disney Magic Music Days event! Sometimes we wonder who is in the audience besides our own school families, so we were very pleased when Pastor K. got this email the next day: “I'm the pastor at Shepherd of the Valley LCMS in Oceanside. My wife and I enjoyed yesterday as a "day off" and played all day at Disneyland. We were glad see that Bethany's middle school was performing and made a point to take it in. I just want to convey how pleased we both were. Not only with what seemed like a great bunch of youth and their gifts being used, but especially by the clear Christian witness! It was nice to see lots of smiles too! Thanks! Blessings!” Wow! Thanks for listening, Pastor and Mrs. Kolkman! And GREAT JOB Bethany singers and ringers! Each bag contains a variety of toiletries, snacks, a devotion book, socks, and water. We are selling the Bags for the Homeless for $5 each, all proceeds will be given to the Long Beach Rescue Mission. After you purchase these bags we ask that you keep a few in your car with you and hand them out to any homeless you may see. These bags will be sold after school in Freedom Square. Bags for the Homeless The Confirmation class at Bethany Lutheran Church has put together 200 bags for the homeless. Each bag contains a variety of toiletries, snacks, a devotion book, socks, and water. We are selling the Bags for the Homeless for $5 each, all proceeds will be given to the Long Beach Rescue Mission. After you purchase these bags we ask that you keep a few in your car with you and hand them out to any homeless you may see. These bags will be sold after school in Freedom Square.

Bethany Summer Music & Arts Camp 2017
Announcing the return of our summer fine arts camp for kids entering Kindergarten-7th grades. “Weather the Weather” is our theme this year, come join in the fun! Camp courses will be taught by Bethany church and school staff. We will highlight 4 daily themes, introduce kids to a variety of arts, & increase appreciation for the musical gifts we have been given by our Heavenly Father. BSM&A 2017 will take place on the campus of Bethany Lutheran Church during the week of June 26-June 29, M-Th, from 9AM –noon. Registration Fee: $100 per child (non-refundable) with a maximum of $175 per family. Registration forms available in the church or school office or downloaded from Bethany’s website www.bethanylutheran.org . Forms and fees are due by May 31. SAVE THE DATE - Our annual RAISE A GLASS event is planned for Saturday, October 21, 2017! This year promises to be even better than previous! We will have a great new venue, an exciting array of auction items, a larger space to allow for more "Friends of Student Success", and more to come! RAISE A GLASS is a unique annual Bethany fund raising event and is the major means to support our Student Success Program! Please add this date to your calendar and consider inviting other friends and family to help celebrate and support SSP!
