A) - The software will create an icon on the desktop as indicated below.(the code 4 indicatesthe model of the Be42 controller; the code '00' up to '99' indicates the release that you aregoing to install. In this example version of software is '00'). Connect the PC to BE42 (seesection 8.00)
B) - Double Click on the Be424.00 icon (or choose 'Open' by using the mouse); the mainscreen of the software will appear as indicated below. Being not connetcted to the Be42, all
parameters are fitted with defaults (factory programming)
C) - Choose a proper Serial connection, select the Be42 address (in other words you have tomatch the node programmed into parameter P49. See section 7.05B of the user manual) and'Password'. If Be42 is not password protected, leave the code 4242 in the box. The followingmessage will indicate the status of the connection:
- 4.0 - How to modify a parameter
The input boxes accept parameters according to a ‘range’ (see user manual ofthe Be42). The parameters can be changed in three ways:
I. Type a new value directly; validation is done when the cursor ismoved outside the textbox
II. Use the Up / Down buttons near to the text box.
There are the following types of parameters:
General purpose Timer. Select the “min” (minutes) or “sec”(seconds) option and then enter the numerical value. You can use the
Up/Down arrows to modify the module of the timer.
Timer module up to 23 hours. The programmingis allowed in Hour + minutes (no seconds), in minutes only or seconds only.
Decimal values. Use Up/Down to modify the timing.
Integer values with off function. When the off check box is
selected, the text box become inactive.
Two state parameters (check the box according toyour needs).
Timer value with off function. When “off”, the timer isinhibited.
Programmable input parameter. From thedrop menu, you can select the function assigned for the input. The twobuttons select the normally open or normally closed mode of the switchconnected to the input.
a) In order to read parameters from the Be42, push the button. Thiscommand will update all parameters (not only the set of parameters that you areseeing on the display window).
b) You can modify the parameters according to your needs.
c) To write the parameters into Be42, click the button. This functionschecks if the parameters are saved properly. There you are an example ofRead/Write session:
In case of error in the range of the parameters, the following messages will appear:
19:23:42> Write parameters ...
19:23:44> Write fail (check connection or parameters)
- 6.0 - Restoring the default parameters
There is a set of default parameters stored in the software (so called factory
programming). To load the defaults, click the button.
Note: The Default button loads default parameters in the screen window. To write thedefaults into Be42, use the “Write parameter” procedure described in section 5.
- 7.0 - Save / Load parameter
In order to store different set of parameters (for each model of panel forexample) it is possible to save the programming in different files.
Click the SAVE FILE button and choose a name & location to store the file. Clickthe OPEN FILE button to open a file that contains the parameters .
