ASG Program Goals

To create enthusiastic lifetime participants in the sport of skiing by developing basic racing/competition fundamentals and techniques. One, two, and three day training available.

Alpine Super Group Program Offerings

1-Day; Saturday or Sunday 2-Day; Saturday and Sunday 3-Day; Saturday and Sunday plus

selected holidays 8:50–11:30am and 12:30–3:00pm each training day Special 4’s

Saturday; 8:15am-4:15pm, lunch time at coach’s discretion Sunday; 8:50-11:30am and 12:30-3:00pm

Special 4’s

December 4, 2004 – Special 4’s program begins Second year J4’s are eligible to participate in an

accelerated training program should they desire. These athletes will train with selected Junior Athletes on Saturday’s, and ASG group with regular ASG hours on Sunday. This group of J4’s will attend additional races during the season, basically on track for the step into Junior competition the following year.

Race Registration and Lodging for ASG

ASG Athletes are responsible for: Entry fees Lodging and travel arrangements

The exception to this rule is the Buddy Werner Championships, where the team must submit and pay all entries. Attendees will be billed by the team for these costs.

Lodging

Coaches will make lodging arrangements for Special 4 athletes, in advance of the trip.

Athletes will be notified as to where lodging will be and the cost.

Athletes must bring payment (cash) for lodging to the coach going on the trip, as the lodging will be paid in full upon arrival at the site.

Lodging Options

Special 4 athletes who choose to travel with their family rather than MRSST have two lodging options once arriving at the race site.

In either case, all athletes traveling to races will help pay coach’s expenses for the event.

Lodging Options #1

Special 4 athletes can room with their teammates and travel to and from the race site with the team.

They will be responsible for van fees and fuel while traveling with the group.

Lodging Options #2

Special 4 athletes and their families may choose to room together at the same, or a different site as the team

Parents will provide transportation to and from the race site for their athlete.

In this scenario, athletes are responsible for making sure they have picked up their race bib and lift ticket and know where and when to meet the team at the race site.

Van and Fuel Fees

When you use the team van you will be charged a per diem van charge of $12.50 per day plus their share of the fuel for the vehicle.

Travel Billings Costs for fuel, daily van fee, and coach’s expense

will be billed to each participating athlete before or immediately after return from a trip.

Payment is due within two weeks of receiving the statement.

In some cases, an estimated trip fee invoice will be sent in advance of the trip to ensure that money is available to pay for the event.

Buddy Werner Qualification

J4 and J5 athletes only Eight male and eight female athletes will travel to

this event Selection will be made of the best points profile that

are accumulated over six (4 GS and 2 SL) head to head races

World Cup scoring system Races will be selected after 10/15 when competition

calendar is finalized

To create athletes that are competitive at all levels of competition through high quality coaching, and premier training facilities. We strive to create an environment of healthy competition, sportsmanship and character development while still having fun.

One and two day programs Designed for up and coming skier who wants

to race and train Goal is to develop skiing as a lifetime skill

Three day Program Weekend and one afternoon of midweek

training Ideal for the athlete who aspires to the full

time program

Junior Full Time Program Offering

For athletes dedicated to the sport of ski racing Goals would be Junior Olympic participation,

reaching US Regional and National Team Status or collegiate scholarships

On snow training 5 days a week, personal travel and race schedules, and a year round conditioning plan

Race Registration for Juniors

All athletes will send in their own entry fees in advance of each event.

Coaches will explain this procedure at the early season team meeting.
