In development field studies, the BD FACSPresto Near-Patient CD4 Counter provided accurate and precise clinical results for CD4, %CD4, and total Hb, using capillary or venous samples from HIV patients in hospital clinics in the USA and Kenya. The system is suitable for point-of-care CD4 enumeration.
