“The Okanagan Wine Festival Society was honoured to partner with the BC Hospitality Foundation as title sponsor of Tip Out to Help for the 2011 campaign. The foundation does important work that aids people in the hospitality industry during a critical time of need or during their educational journey. To be able to support this cause was very rewarding for our board and
the members we represent.”

Further Background on the Foundation
About the BC Hospitality FoundationHope, opportunity, and inspiration. That’s what the British Columbia Hospitality Foundation delivers when it supports a person whose livelihood in BC’s hospitality industry is threatened by a serious health-related condition or issue. That’s what you deliver when you support the foundation.
In addition to helping individuals and families who have been hit by financial hard times due to illness or injury, the British Columbia Hospitality Foundation annually awards scholarships to students enrolled in Hospitality, Culinary and Sommelier programs.
Who BenefitsFoundation benefits will support and offer hope and inspiration to people who work in the hospitality industry: food suppliers, hoteliers, media, publicists, restaurateurs, retailers, vintners, and wine sales representatives.
Fund ManagementThe fund is managed by a committee of the Foundation’s Board, all leaders within the industry. Included on the committee are Richard Carras, Christine Coletta, Geoffrey Howes, Tim Pawsey, Bing Smith, and Harry McWatters.
