FEBRUARY 2017

BUCKEYE BREEZE

Making beautiful flower gardens is a part of our Eagle life. All the flowers of tomorrow are the seeds of yesterday.

As delicate as a flower - as fresh as a daisy! And a reminder….

All things grow with LOVE!

I hope everyone who attended “State Officers’” weekend had an enjoyable time. Thank you very much Canton McKinley #2370 for hosting this event. With the Aerie and Auxiliary working together you did an outstanding job. I want to thank all members who bought raffle tickets for my State Charity, Sara’s Garden. I will not know the total raised until State Convention. Zone Prep is coming up soon. Please try to attend and sign-up to work registration for your upcoming Zones the weekend of April 7th-9th. This is the way you get to see old friends and make new ones. All Past State Presidents have said what a great time they have had visiting Auxiliaries the year they were President, and boy do I agree with them. Everyone has made me feel so welcomed. I just love the way they have decorated in my theme. I will be on the road again “Buzzing” around our Great State of OH…IO! My schedule for February looks like this.

• February 4th, I will be attending NWZ Prep meeting at Bryan #2233 and then in the evening I will travel to Hicksville #2556 to attend their “All Male Beauty Contest” to raise money for their charities.

• February 11th, I will be attending Geneva (Lake Shore) #2243 as guest speaker for their Anniversary.

• February 18th, I will be at Cadiz #2162 for the SEZ Chairman, Lynn Norton’s, “42 Raffle” for Sara’s Garden.

I want to wish all my Sisters (Gerbera Daisies) a Happy Valentine’s Day filled with LOVE. Let’s not forget to honor our Past Presidents on February 20th, it is because of their leadership that America is a great country! I would like to thank all my Sisters and Brothers that purchased the tickets for the free weekend stay at the Ohio State Eagles Rec Park. The winner was Tracy Possage, District #6 Leader. Congratulations to Tracy and I know that she will enjoy her weekend. August 19th will be the annual All Zones Day at the Rec Park, so if any Aerie or Auxiliary would like to donate money for food and beverages to sell, it would be greatly appreciated. Please send checks to Ohio State Auxiliary Secretary, Debbie Sharp, and mark it for All Zones Day. Again a big THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!! Eileen Moser

The holidays are over and we need to continue acquiring more “Seed Packets” for our Queen Bee – Sue.

Challenges are going great! We have three more Auxiliaries that have met their quota for 2016-2017!

#190 Massillon

#463 Corning

#582 Dennison

Special congratulations to #2171 Pomeroy for DOUBLING their quota!

Keep up the “IMPRESSIVE WORK” the Queen Bee will be mighty proud. . . .

In the Top Fifteen New Leaders, #190 Massillon is NUMBER 9. Another reason to be proud!

Ohio continues as #1, and we are at 51.68% of our goal.

Thank you to all District Leaders for an AWESOME job!

Sandy Graham – State Membership Chairman
