Iran. Deputies of the German and Iranian Ministries of Economy were the special guests

Bayan Associate to arbitrate in Vienna Vis. Moot Competition:
Mr. NimaNasrollahiShahri, associate at Bayan Emrooz International Law Firm, will arbitrate in this year’s Williem Vis. C. Moot in Vienna during March 2016. He was a former participant in last year’s competition and is currently coaching AllamehTabata’i University Team this year. This is the second time an Iranian team is participating in this prominent arbitration festival. The Oral Round of pleadings will start on 20th March.
Bayan held a conference on making investments in the European Union: In collaboration with Human Thinkers’ Home, On 13 January 2016, Bayan Emrooz held a conference aimed at Iranian nationals who might take an interest in investing their capital in the European Union. The speakers talked about three jurisdictions, namely Cyprus, Hungry and Germany. Initially, Dr. Anna Ranky discussed the possibility of investing money in Hungry thereby getting a residence permit in the country. Subsequently, BabakTabeshian, German-Iranian lawyer, addressed different legal facets of investment in Germany. Finally, Martinos Typogrtaphos explored investment opportunities in Cyprus in light of recent changes to Cyprus laws.

Bayan Partner Attended The Fifth International Green Film Festival: With the aim of promoting the culture of environmental protection through artistic expression and recognizing valuable art works to increase public awareness on environmental matters,the 5th Green Film Festival was held by Iran’s Department of Environment since 13 to 20 may 2016 in Felestin Cinema of Tehran. As one of the practice areas of Bayan Emrooz Law Firm is Energy Law, Mr. Rahmani, attended this Festival on the second day that was allocated to three Iranian Movies and the German documentary “Power to Change” produced by Carl- A- Fechner.

The Swiss ambassador and Deputy of Geneva Chamber of Commerce were the special guests of this event. Ms Encyeh Sadr on behalf of Bayan Emrooz Law Firm has been invited to hold a speech regarding labour law of Iran in Milan, in June 2016. The main issues that will be discussed in this seminar are company law, labour law, taxation and insurance regulations in Iran. This event is held by a leading consulting Italian company and three speakers are joining from international law firm and accounting company based in Münich and Tehran. The participants of this event are managers and CEOs of Italian companies wishing to enter Iran market. The main issues that Ms Sadr will discuss in this event will cover work permit and residency permit regulations, employment contracts under labour law of Iran and dispute settlement in relation between employer and employees.

A team of six lawyers wins Iran Commercial Arbitration Moot competition with the support oflawyers from Bayan Emrooz Law Firm.
The moot court competition was held jointly by Tehran Regional Arbitration Center( TRAC) and Arbitration Center of Iran Chamber of Commerce(ACICC). Thirty two teams of young lawyers and graduate students had participated in this championship. The final round of the competition was held on Monday 6th of June 2016. The final pleading was held at 3 pm and lasted for about two hours.The team received some training from and was supported by Bayan Emrooz lawyers namely Encyeh Seyed Sadr and Nima Nasrollahi Shahri. Encyeh is a partner at Bayan Emrooz International Law office. Nima Nasrollahi Shahri had previously coached Allameh Tabatae'i University Williem C. Vis. moot team, which made it to the elimination rounds in Vienna earlier this year.
